That scuplt is... phenomenal! Wow... might have to lay off the Indy sketch cards long enough to snag this. Thankfully it won't hit till the 4th quarter (I'm guessing) so plenty of time to save.

That IS Harrison Ford... incredible...

(though, yep, needs to be more dirty/stubbly :))

whoa you painted up another sample? from the sounds of it, this one is worse? :(

Yes i originally painted the protos for the TOD Indy. Looks like they changed it around a bit for some reason or another. I had him with darker facial hair and more variety of skin tones in the face and chest like in the movie. :gah:

You guys wont be dissapointed in the sculpt however Trev delivered yet again.

If I had one complaint then it is the same as most other folks, that he doesn't look battered and dirty enough, and he should have more of a five o'clock shadow. I'm not too worried about skin tone and things because of the amount of flash/harsh light that seems to be in the pic.

As for the pose, I dunno, looks like it might be a little bit awkward, but who knows, and I'll personally reserve judgement on that until we see more pics. I do kinda wish that the TOD Indy was based on the teaser poster though, but maybe Sideshow might do that as a diorama piece eventually, and besides, I still think this will turn out to be a match for the previous Indy pieces.

I'll definitely be adding him to my collection anyway. That's make 3 Indy PF's, Mola Ram pf, and an Indy dio so far. Now where's that Henry Jones snr PF...

Josh, sorry to hear that. I don't understand why they have not respected your paint job.

I think that sideshow has sought to lower the quality of your paint to adjust the prototype of what will eventually be the standard paint, so that people will not be disappointed by a quality change so abrupt, isn´t it?:lecture

Seems a bit disrespectful to an artist's work, but for the reason I have said in the previous paragraph was the only way. Here you are valued:clap

I'm not one to post negative comments very often, but I was really hoping for a different stance. For me, the PF's like this look so much better when the pose is somewhat "iconic." I really dislike the way his wrist is bent. The lack of weathering goes without saying, I just really hope I change my opinion when I see the full gallery of pics next week! I have been eagerly waiting for this fella!

Gotta respectfully disagree, "not iconic enough"? Whenever I think of TOD this is the image that first pops into my mind

it doesn't get more iconic than that.

Yes a bit more dirt and why carn't the hand bandage be fabric we pay enoungh ! Looks cheap !

But will wait and see when they are in hand !

Looking good.

Just saw this. Looks fantastic! I agree the paintjob could have been a little better with more stubble and grime, but it's still pretty good (at least it doesn't take away from the sculpt, which is brilliant).

What's he holding on the other hand? A Sankara stone?

That is what it looks like to me. I wonder if the exclusive will finally be a switch out hand...maybe holding the whip.

With KITCD Indy, I kept telling myself that I already had an Indy PF and didn't have enough extra space and money for a second. It looks like it's going to be harder this time.

If I order this I'll have to buy the KOTCS too. :slap

And hope for a TLC version (with the machine gun and tie or even an $800 motorcycle with Indy and Henry Sr.)

That would be pretty sweet, would kind of be like the Speeder Bike but I highly doubt SSC would do that because like the Speeder Bike it would be on second chance for forever.

This is the photo I was talking about

Maybe that exact shot is in the film? Looks staged to me.

That's a publicity still. The fact that he's looking at the camera should give it away. ;) He's also got a cleaner shirt in that pic, and I'm fine with SSC using that as the basis for the PF.

Great hero pose!

Looks like what they tried and failed to do with Jedi Luke.

Nice, but ever since I heard Small Studios got a job painting Sideshow products the first thing I thought was no more preorders from them.

As talented a painter as he is, it is grossly misrepresenting what it is your going to ultimately be getting. He is easily the most or top 2-3 most talented painter on this site which says alot, I suspect alot of people who don't come here and know this, are going to be wondering what happened between proto and production paint.

So for me, as nice as this or Mola Ram looks, I'm not buying anything until I see it in hand and determine the factory machine applied paint apps have not completely ruined the beautiful sculpt.
