I totally agree. The expression is just 'blank'. The emotion portrayed is not easy to read, and that is a fail!

I messed about with it in Photoshop for 30 mins and this is what I came up with:

Another thing that made it look weird was that you couldn't see his teeth, so I drew them on. His eyebrows were also too thick. HF has very thin eyebrows. And of course I made him smile. I also completed his head

Not perfect at all, but IMO a bit better.

That looks loads better, I'd buy that reminds me of the Bigfoot in harry and the hendersons.

Well the 3 best Indy sculpts so far are Sideshow's Premium Format Raiders, Temple and Crytsal Skull.

Those efforts were way above Hot Toys and Medicoms....

Sideshow is the only company consistently making Indy products. I don't want them to get out of the business because I like their product. I just want them to get better.

The Premium Formats are very good sculpts. This one is just plain stupid looking. Larger is not always better.

I wish SS would put this much effort into a nice 1:6 Indy, and get it right, just one time.

HT is way too busy with other lines to come back to Indy in the 5 years.

So far, whether it be 1/4 or 1/6, nobody can seem to get Indy's Alden 405's correct. To my knowledge, I'm pretty sure Harrison Ford did not lace through the speed hooks. These companies should consult us at the Indy Lounge! lol Sheesh, get it right!

At 1/4 scale or 1/6th scale prices I don't really care. If they look like shoes and are similar I am happy. Sculpt and paint are far more important at those scales and prices.

However, if I am shelling out $2000 for a 1/2 scale statue then I agree with you everything, including shoes, should be as accurate as possible.

By far after reading the posts I prefer to invest money into indy and the pursuit of the lost ark it's shame though a big statue would have been great.

But honestly, I really hope they're reworking it because that character deserves an amazing statue. (Even if I disagree completely with the price range for the line.)

Yeah... this project could be an amazing outta the ball park piece... I just can't get past the odd scale proportions of the horse to Indy... just looks off.. enough that the overall look was awkward... but damn if it was right on it would be a brilliant show piece ! Iconic Indy

You may be confusing statues but I would be very interested to see a 1/2 Indy on horse statue

It needs to look bad ass, that thing they showed at the comic con was a insult to the fans and Indy. He should have a hard mean, determined, look on his face too.
