Don't get me wrong...I love Star Wars but we have seen ENOUGH Star Wars stuff for a while bout damn time Indy gets his due and proper.

No question, I am all for quality Indy pieces and I think this dio looks pretty good; the price just seemed inflated to me -- but hey if you aren't all that interested in a bag, the secondary market will serve you well.

:banana

It would have been nice, but with Lucasfilm licensing fees there's no way you are going to see a $150 Indy dio. I'm not saying that the price is justified. All I'm saying is that there are a few other dios around that same size and weight with similar price tags. I'll use the Streetfighter piece as an ex.: a vertical piece an inch or two higher than Indy and weighing 9 pounds and the regular alone is $320. And it's sold out..so there was enough interest in the line for folks to spend that kind of money.

What Sideshow should have done is specify the dio with the bag as an exclusive, then offer the regular at $20 cheaper. They broke the two versions up anyways. Regular piece then is more in line with the PF.

I almost gave in after my last comment and was going to get it, but I think the one I really want is a Raiders Dio. I will hang on for that one and start saving as well.

hey, that's the same bag i just bought. (waiting for delivery anytime now)... but it's not the tod bag, which was based on the markvi gas-mask bag. the "bonus" bag ss is giving as an exclusive is the one from kingdom of the crystal skull, as u can see from the silly logo inside the flap. if i remember correctly they also used the markvii in raiders. the differences between markvi & vii are minimal though...

Hey Tyler, where did you get the bag and how much? :)

Its the same model british gas mask bag in all 4 movies, the strap is replaced with a leather one.

The only differance in ToD, is that the bag has 3 filter plugs on the bottom instead of 2.

Sideshow's is not a real one(obviously) its a repro put out in Japan at the time KotCS was released. They wen't for about $20 there and go for a little more on ebay.

You can get a real one cheaper sometimes, but not with a leather strap.

Heres my real one,

and heres a repro I bought for $10.

So I just attemped to show my boyfriend what I just pre-ordered and the first thing he asks is, "so who are these two people?" :slap And then his next question was, "how much is it going to cost?" :lol God, love him.

They're both nice, Deckard. I'll have to track one down myself.

The diorama is nice, but I do agree that Mola Ram's expression came out a little weird.

I think they should do a promotion that a lucky few will get a replica Sankara Stone inside their exclusive Indy man-bag!

I'm not into collecting these dioramas, but I gotta say...this one sure looks good. Great way to get Mola Ram into a modern collectible.

I like the face expressions...too often the facial expressions end up looking a little too neutral and take any drama out of the piece...

Very cool job!

It's probably just meant to be displayed form the front.
Too bad it couldn't be hung on the wall,,,THAT would look really dramatic on display....

WOW..sold out already? I never knew when it came out on pre-order (it was a busy week for me). The detail on this piece is awesome, including those wooden bridge remains. All of it oozes awesomeness. But i am a bit skeptical about the final product as i have lost faith in all these pre-production pictures (after "Han & Luke in Stromtrooper disguise" paint app fiasco):(

Thats what I was hoping for, it'd be perfect to hang up, more so then that reactor core I remember.
