Vincent Price is considered one of the most iconic and beloved stars of classic horror movies in the world. Sophisticated, ironic and theatrical, Vincent Price succeeded in giving his evil, ruthless, sadistic, morally questionable personalities a grotesque character, a menacing and casual elegance that together with his unique and unmistakable voice brought him great success and his nickname as “Master of Menace”. From House of Wax to Edgar Alan Poe’s masterpieces, from House on Haunted Hill to his last performance in Tim Burton’s Edward Scissorhands in 1990, Vincent Price played the dark, stylish side of evil with irony and chilling talent. Inspired by one of his most iconic performances, this statuette is intended to be the finest possible tribute to one of the greatest actors, a man who has become the embodiment of horror cinema of all time. His imposing figure, his penetrating gaze and his legendary laugh (he provided the narration and the final laugh in Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”) make Vincent Price a monument of cinema.
It's been a while since I saw that as well, but I think you're right. It is odd though that they go so far out of their way to NOT name the movie. lol I think I would have prefered something different that a bunch of different parts of a movie thrown into one statue. It doesn't make sense because there was never a scene like that. I prefer more of an iconic scene recreation. Don't get me wrong though, this is a badass statue, and if it was in 1:4 I'd be all over it. But that's a lot of money for a 1:6 piece.I haven't watched House on Haunted Hill in a couple years, but immediately recognize most of the elements from the film. The head Nora manning finds in her suitcase, and later found by Lance in her closet. The noose Mrs. Loren fakes her hanging with. The base is the out door structural decor of the Frank Lloyd Wright home used for the film. The Skeleton scattered about the base is obviously from the film's finale. The cobblestone base is supposed to invoke the wine cellar I suppose, I am stumped on the axe though. I may have to watch the film again and see if I spot it. Anyone else remember if its in the flick, or if its just creative license? This is great, and I hope a 1/6 figure (or even a 1/4 scale pf) follows. Next year is the 30th anniversary of Vinney's passing. I still remember the day the news aired. Just before Halloween 1993.
