Vincent Price is considered one of the most iconic and beloved stars of classic horror movies in the world. Sophisticated, ironic and theatrical, Vincent Price succeeded in giving his evil, ruthless, sadistic, morally questionable personalities a grotesque character, a menacing and casual elegance that together with his unique and unmistakable voice brought him great success and his nickname as “Master of Menace”. From House of Wax to Edgar Alan Poe’s masterpieces, from House on Haunted Hill to his last performance in Tim Burton’s Edward Scissorhands in 1990, Vincent Price played the dark, stylish side of evil with irony and chilling talent. Inspired by one of his most iconic performances, this statuette is intended to be the finest possible tribute to one of the greatest actors, a man who has become the embodiment of horror cinema of all time. His imposing figure, his penetrating gaze and his legendary laugh (he provided the narration and the final laugh in Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”) make Vincent Price a monument of cinema.

I haven't watched House on Haunted Hill in a couple years, but immediately recognize most of the elements from the film. The head Nora manning finds in her suitcase, and later found by Lance in her closet. The noose Mrs. Loren fakes her hanging with. The base is the out door structural decor of the Frank Lloyd Wright home used for the film. The Skeleton scattered about the base is obviously from the film's finale. The cobblestone base is supposed to invoke the wine cellar I suppose, I am stumped on the axe though. I may have to watch the film again and see if I spot it. Anyone else remember if its in the flick, or if its just creative license? This is great, and I hope a 1/6 figure (or even a 1/4 scale pf) follows. Next year is the 30th anniversary of Vinney's passing. I still remember the day the news aired. Just before Halloween 1993.

I have not seen all his movies, but enough that he had an impact on me as a kid who watched horror movies. The Raven is one I remember fondly. More comedy than horror, but what a fun watch; Price, Karloff, Lorre, and yes Nicholson. This is a fantastic piece and I hope it leads to a 1/6 figure.

It's been a while since I saw that as well, but I think you're right. It is odd though that they go so far out of their way to NOT name the movie. lol I think I would have prefered something different that a bunch of different parts of a movie thrown into one statue. It doesn't make sense because there was never a scene like that. I prefer more of an iconic scene recreation. Don't get me wrong though, this is a badass statue, and if it was in 1:4 I'd be all over it. But that's a lot of money for a 1:6 piece.

Just found this, and I'm so annoyed. It's like the perfect Vincent Price stature... Except for that severed head. It just seems a little to gory for me I guess? I would have preferred something more understated, and it kind of kills me (no pun intended) that it's such a dealbreaker. I wish *that* hand was the swappable one. Gah.

The statue is clearly film specific, rather than just a general VP piece. It's from one of his more well known films, House on Haunted Hill. Its also a nod to the poster art. In the poster he is holding his unfaithful wife's head. A scene which doesn't happen in the film at all. At least they got the right head. As everything else is film specific, from House on Haunted Hill, it doesn't bother me the head is present. Would it help if I told you that, in the film, the head is just a ruse? It isn't an actual human head. Just something crafted to try to drive a young woman insane.

Aw come on, Vinney likes throwing heads about anyway....poor Peter Lorre learned the hard way. Don't let that sway you.

I love the severed head. Love it. I wish the base was littered with several, lol. Just kidding. Trying to rub my fellow freaks the wrong way for fun. I think you younger set call that "trolling". We used to call it "messin'". Seriously though, as someone who has been a huge admirer of Price's for years (even writing to him, and receiving multiple correspondences/autographs, and speaking to him once via telephone) I can tell you that this statue, in my opinion, perfectly encapsulates/represents not only House on Haunted Hill, but the "spook-meister" image that he became known for.

I guess I can understand the aversion to the head if you wanted something less HoHH specific. But you'd also have to get rid of the Frank Llyod Wright architecture that makes up the base.

Come on freaks, just roll with it. Spend the dough. Or....consider this; This will invariably become a figure. So you could always wait for such an offering. As for me, I will have both, even if I have to live in a refrigerator box at the end of the cul de sac, and eat Ramen noodles for a year to do it,lol.
