Just Talked to Cathy and she said that Since the original was so limited the International customers got screwed which they knew was going to happen so they made an International one just for them and the only difference is the base.

Im glad our friends from out of the country got the chance to score one as well!! :rock

P!tu, I've always been curious. Can you just call Sideshow and say: "Hey, this is P!tu. Put me through to...." Then, basically, talk to whoever you want.

I have a feeling that's what you do. :lol

Damn, what a bunch of babies.

Calling Sideshow greedy pricks is pretty classless. If you are really that mad, sell your damn statue and never buy anything from them ever again. Yea, that ain't happening.

I'm trying to understand the whole PZ thing. It's just a statue of an ugly zombie guy, who cares whether it has International stamped on the base or not?

Im still trying to "get" it.

Put yourself on the waitlist for the regular ASAP. You might be able to pull one off. If not, wait till things "die down" on Ebay and get one then.

Actually they recognize him by his voice. They then ask him to hold. At this point the whole staff plays rock paper scissors to decide who gets to talk to him and try to understand what the ^^^^ he is saying.

Yes, it is legitimate and real Sideshow product. We have a large international fan-base, most of whom buy their product from local stores and dealers who purchase from distributors, who purchase directly from Sideshow. The process of collecting orders from these international distributors can be slow, and on rare occasion, we are caught by surprise by significant interest in a product after we have closed the edition size and set the production in motion. In these instances, we are left with the difficult choice of disappointing valued international collectors by refusing their orders or changing the edition size of the standard edition of the product - causing frustration with customers who pre-ordered in a timely fashion.

In this case, we chose to employ a compromise solution - allowing our international customers the chance to order from a separate ‘International Edition’, without changing the established regular edition size. It is not a choice that we make lightly, but we do believe it preserves the collectible nature of the product while allowing some of our international fans to participate in the excitement of the first Premium Format product from The Dead. This solution is not one that we intend to employ on a regular basis - but we do reserve the right to make occasional ‘creative’ solutions!

We didn’t intend to offer the International Edition of Patient Zero PF on our website - it was sold in its entirety to International Distributors. So being, news of the piece wasn’t communicated through our web & communications teams for publication. We apologize for the oversight and will inform you earlier if this situation should ever arise in the future.

They can sugar coat it all they want, in the end it was still about money. Yes they wanted to please there customers but trust me, they were still thinking about the money they were going to make doing it.

The other thing is that the reg edition sat around available for preorder on the site for quite a while. Does anyone remember how long it was before that one went to sold out? They announced the ES before it did.

Because it was up for so long--and maybe just as long as many other reg editions of figures--I'm not buying the story that international dealers couldn't get in their orders. International dealers don't have to send a carrier pigeon with parchment containing their order counts in this day and age. I could see if they all went that night, but that wasn't the case at all.
