Well I've bought a few items, in the past 8 months from the 1:1 endo skull, 300 figure & Arnie T800 all have come cheaper from SSC then I was able to buy locally & thats including the shipping with no use of discounts ie: points or gift cards. The dropping dollar will affect this, I'm not really sure where the shipping used to be priced either but I've been happy so far.

It's only been with the very high exchange rate and the discount in shipping that ordering direct was cheaper, otherwise I was always able to get the items cheaper at a local shop.

I only buy EX's and with sideshow flex pay it makes it so much easier to buy stuff without having to cough up a big chunk of change in one hit.

I've never used flex pay, I always save and budget. As for the EX's, either none were still available, or the included EX part just wasn't worth the extra at the time that it was going to cost.

My next real test will be the Maleficent PF, I cancelled my EX order since I had some issues with the statue overall and really don't like the EX head anyway. So am waiting for in-hand pics and if those are much better, will consider the Reg, either direct or locally, depending on shipping cost's, local cost and exchange rate.

With a wife and 3 kids it is very hard to save up a few hundred dollars :lecture
I have Maleficent EX on flex-pay and if it wasn't on flex there would be no way i could afford it, plus it's my wife's birthday present so i can pay it off without her knowing:yess:
Flex-pay is one of the best things sideshow has:clap

OK, fair enough.
Will be interesting to hear what the postage is on her, since in theory, she should be much the same as the Evil Queen, size wise. Will make a good comparison in relation to international shipping prices.

thats allot. where do you live? mine is 46.01 USD. I live in holland

I wonder if that means we are twice as far away, maybe.... or not.

Well I just had the 1:6 emperors throne I think the postage was $46AU a bit steep but agin the dollars dropped & it's still $45 cheaper then local prices

Well, I'm about to have a interesting exercise. I ordered the F-302 replica and at this moment, the Estimated shipping is $50USD.
It was about 3 months ago that I got the Evil Queen PF, which was $47USD for shipping, but then the F-302 is half the size and weight of the Evil Queen.

I have a Indy Fedora hat shipping soon and that is costing $50 just for shipping:horror.Lucky the hat hat was free:yess:

Hhhmmm... interestingly I just got my 3-day notice for Wolverine, even more interestingly there was no quote on the shipping cost like SS have been doing of late.

I'd say that is a pretty good indicator international shipping prices are on the up and up. Oh well, cheaper shipping was nice while it lasted, all 8 months of it :(

So, a little update, my f-302 order finally shipped and the estimated shipping of $50USD, ended up being $38USD to actually send it. I don't think that's too bad, all things considered.

I have a quick question for all those from Australia. Whats combined shipping like?

I was quoted $27 for 1 HT 12". They didn't answer my question on combining items. Now that the $ is strong id like to buy 3-4 HT 12" figures together. Thanks

The combined shipping quote you're asking for would depend on if the items you wanted to buy, happen to all be in stock at the same time. Combined wouldn't be available for pre-order items, as they usually arrive weeks or more apart. All I can suggest is you fill out another shipping request form https://www.sideshowtoy.com/helpdesk/?p=134

Also, because of SS new cheaper international shipping deal, I'm not totally sure they combine shipping now. But even so, given the current exchange rate, it may not get any better any time soon.

Any more info on this shipping deal and when it took effect? I haven't had anything delivered for a couple of months but i didn't really notice a difference in cost last time

It started around the first few months of the year, when the UK warehouse closed.

The difference can depend on what your getting, so the larger/heaver the item is, the cheap it now is compared to before. My own example was the Evil Queen PF. That would have been around $100+ for shipping, I got it for around $50 shipping.

They stopped combined shipping about 12 months ago. That is why international customers always get a free gift card with their purchase, to compensate for the loss of this service. I now have about 30 GC as a result.

Edit - Talking about orders that aren't ready to ship together.

With the recent incidents regarding suspicious packages being sent to the US via UPS and FedEx, I am wondering whether the increased in security checks of international shipment will result in an increase in shipping prices for international customers like us?

I would hate to be suddenly slapped with a US$100 fee for shipment for a PF figure.

Yes, me too, I have a stack of those useless cards. What a great compensation. I wonder though, if that procedure is also coming to an end, because the last item I received - 12" SW cantina set, about a week ago - didn't have a GC. Either that, or they forgot it this time.

I doubt that.
