Given this new information I feel honored that you actually texted me during comicon.

Believe me, that was difficult for me to do. It made me very anxious. I felt like being like Bodie and not being seen nor heard from but I also didn't want to be like that. I went out to California for a reason.

I'm surprised he even went to Comicon!

I had access to the Con for all 4 days- I only went one day and a quarter. My 4 day passes were even free but I just couldn't handle it. :lol

Glad there are so many of us in the forums!!! We should all plan to hang out at the next SDCC---in our separate hotel rooms of course. We can conversate back and forth on the forum chatroom.

Yeah a GIFTED 2.1% of the population :dance

I'm a proud INTJ man Rory! :D

:chew:banana
Hey fellow INTJ brother- don't worry, I won't drop by unexpectedly on you. :lol

I just found this pretty interesting. It fits so well.

INTJs generally have the following traits:

* Able to absorb extremely complex theoretical and complex material
* Driven to create order and structure from theoretical abstractions
* Supreme strategists
* Future-oriented
* See the global, "big picture"
* Strong insights and intuitions, which they trust implicitly
* Value their own opinions over others
* Love difficult theoretical challenges
* Bored when dealing with mundane routine
* Value knowledge and efficiency
* Have no patience with inefficiency and confusion
* Have very high standards for performance, which they apply to themselves most strongly
* Reserved and detached from others
* Calm, collected and analytical
* Extremely logical and rational
* Original and independent
* Natural leaders, but will follow those they can fully support
* Creative, ingenious, innovative, and resourceful
* Work best alone, and prefer to work alone

More so than any other personality type, INTJs are brilliant when it comes to grasping complex theories and applying them to problems to come up with long-term strategies. Since this type of "strategizing" is the central focus and drive of the INTJ, there is a happy match between desire and ability in this type. Accordingly, the INTJ is happiest and most effective in careers which allow this type of processing, and which promote an environment in which the INTJ is given a lot of autonomy over their daily lives.

Have you ever had your significant other question your actions and personality?? My GF does it all the time...of course, I also have PTSD so I really try to avoid crowded places most of the times, but she always complains about how I never want to go to concerts,clubs, or anything like that.

Woah. Its scary how well this all describes me. Hehe, I showed my wife all of this material (yesterdays) and she laughed. Now when I tell her i'm headed off to my man-cave I simply tell her "Hey, its not my fault, i'm an Introvert" :lol

Well luckily and against all odds, my GF is also an INTJ so she gets it. I don't know who would put up with me otherwise. We have been very close and together for approximately 8 years now.

I think this is why relationships are so difficult. People just don't understand each other and their needs. If your GF is an extrovert then she probably just does not understand how or why you don't like crowds, going out, etc. PTSD is also a very debilitating disorder and can affect your daily life but what can you do about that? It's not like you can just shut it off. You need someone who can be compassionate about your disorder so that you can feel accepted and slowly work towards rehabilitation. That never happens overnight.

If you explain these things to her and she still doesn't get it or does not want to compromise the slightest then you two may just not be compatible. It happens unfortunately but life can be so much easier when shared with a person who just gets it.

I sent this to my best friend, and she said this describes me very well. There are a few exceptions, of course, but no two people are the same anyway.

I hate concerts and clubs too, for multiple reasons, but the main deterrent for me are the crowds.

Man, the more I read, the worse I feel for just approaching you two at comicon. You two must hate my guts.:lol:lol:lol

Rory I believe the 2% will be on a forum like such or at least the majority here will be INTJ.

I find myself to be both, I have both extremedies. I can party with the best of them or I can be the only one in the world in my corner.

I do feel the drain from ppl whenever it comes time to my down time sometimes I basically just zone out so I don't hear what ppl are talking about because it takes the brain energy of listening to what obviously something you've all ready figured out or don't care much for or know where the conversation is heading and what the conclusion is all ready.

I've had this problem ever since HS/College with my jock buddies and seemed to relate or have more in common with my classmates or colleagues instead of ppl that I played organized sports with. I say this because the extroverts my would love the parties and crowds and doing it for long straneious hours and over and over again as to where the introverts were more like me in the sense of reading, being to themselves, or enjoying their own time.

I always told my wife that if it were just me and me alone and I didn't marry anyone or have any friends, which is complete opposite of my life, I would be perfectly fine with that. Now ppl don't get the wrong idea I love my wife and I love my life having surprises here and there but there is that little voice that Rory has inside of him that speaks to me as well and says enough of this or I'm annoyed from ppl calling or dropping by unexpectedly.

Also with the Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, etc... Most ppl think that since I'm a software guy for my profession that I would love these sites and software programs. It's quite the opposite whenever you bring fashion to the world of technology that is where I stop. Whenever it becomes a fad that some technology is cool and hip, that's where I start disliking the source. I like the functionality and skill it takes to develop such software, I don't really like using it :lol

All this being said I think I have both side because I flip flop between the two worlds.

Why? Somethin you wanna show me sugar? :naughty
