The only ones that are keeping me back are the "no flash" and the battery replacement. My current Q has the battery life of a tictac and it's very frustrating. But I can just put in fresh battery if I need to.

I tried to call around to see if the nearby AT&T stores have them in stock - tried about 10 times -they pick up the phone and hang up. Called the apple store - they said they had plenty, but also a constant line with about a 2 hour wait.

There are two small screws on the bottom of the case next to the speaker and mic that allows you to open the phone to replace the battery. Obviously doing so voids your Apple Care warranty, so hopefully battery replacement can be done on site at an Apple store.

Well,

I got my Iphone yesterday. The first version was a bit too slow IMO.

That said, this thing FREAKIN' ROCKS!!!!!

It's VERY fast over 3G. There are so many cool apps for it too via the appshop on Itunes. (Shazzam rocks)

Mail is really fast and instant.

I love it....I cannot believe I waited this long to get one. The screen is crystal clear and battery life is better than I expected.

I got one two weeks ago and no lie, this thing has changed my life!

Love all the Apps, the email is better than I could've imagined, and it is much faster than the first. I love mine too and don't know how I ever lived without it. :rock

Ill,

What apps do you have?

Shazzam is my favorite one.

The "Get to my car" one is also cool. Great for concerts. :)

Ebay and paypal of course.

Flashlight and lighter are pretty nice too. I wish I didnt miss out on the lightsaber. Oh well.

Wikipedia and Bloomberg are also useful.

SOOO many cool things!!! I need some good games next.

Let me know what else you have found to be must haves for it.

Down the road I'll consider getting the 3g version but I'm quite happy with the other version. Its one of the coolest things I've ever bought.

I have the 3G version and absolutely love it far more than the original. A friend of mine still swears by the first version though. I kill my battery amazingly fast though screwing with it so much and Shazam rocks, doubled my music library with that app alone.

i got one..this thing is awesome...Fast network and the new software improved battery life even more...awesome apps..email is fast...Vid quality is excellent...I cant wait to get IM on it next week.

I have a 6 year old Samsung :banana

Shazzam is great. I let it tag every song that comes on the radio, just cause I can.

And Showtimes is wonderful. It uses GPS to locate all the movie theatres where you are and gives you showtimes at those theatres.

I also use Bloomberg for stock tracking, and Cowbell, just because you can never have enough cowbell.

Oh I kill mine texting, checking email, surfing the net, and messing around with the apps I have. I don't have any songs on mine but I do have a couple movies just to show people what they look like on the the phone. The IPhone is pretty darn cool don't think you can go wrong with either version.

Ok...the Glyde will be a nice paperweight for you soon.

Why? Do they break easily? If you are talking about the lack of features and programs when compared with an Iphone then I am not too worried. I am simple. I make and receive calls and text. That's it for me. I browse the web and such at home. I didn't even turn the browser functionalty on.

I got one recently and I have been surprised how handy it is. Checking e-mail at the grocery store, guitar tuner, Powerpoint remote, voice recorder, news updates, weather, movie times, GPS, camera, wireless file sharing, etc. It's far more useful and versatile than I anticipated. (All the games are fun, as well.) I took my youngest son shopping at Costco and put on a Pixar movie, and he didn't fuss the entire time--just sat contendedly and watched the movie. That never worked before because the iPod didn't have speakers. I think it's definitely been worth the investment.

Took the Glyde back after reading your post and reading very poor reviews online. I picked up the new LG Dare. It seems cool but I have to charge it up and see. It got way better reviews than the Glyde.
