Good going! However was it damaged? Do you have a clean one?
What I like the best is the use of and addition of the plants! Great work right there!

Wow that really is a stunning piece really adds to what's already an awesome statue can't wait to see war machine as well

Hi there Ave, and thanks for your kind comments, it means a lot more coming from you as some fellow freaks on here think you really are Tony Stark!!:lol:lol

Basically, everyone knows how hard it is to get their hands on one of these Iron Man 1/4 marquettes since they sold out...I was late to the collecting scene and missed out when it first got released but had the chance to pick one up on eBay back in March of this year on EBay for around $480 and it was the exclusive!:yess: anyway, nothing was wrong with it, it was an ex display but had been well looked after. When I recieved it, it looked fantastic...great pose and light feature...it quickly became one of my favourite pieces. However, I was a bit disappointed with the base as I thought it could have done with a bit of touching up here and there...which is what initially drew me to the idea of just customising the base.

About a week on eBay, a seller had put up a custom Iron Maquette which was lightly battle damaged and i absolutely fell in love with it...I even tried to win it but it went for something crazy like $1250!!! So I decided to give mine a go and didn't hold back with the battle damage! I wanted to recreate the end battle scene from Iron Man 2 where he battles it out next to War Machine against all the droids! Which is what my next project is this coming week!

If look closely, I have also added water puddles inside the skid marks of where the droid has crashed into the ground to give it that extra realism. Anyway, thanks for looking and watch out for my custom War Machine :clap

I was actually thinking that these Iron Man and War Machine marquettes would look really good together side by side in one of those new Maybang light up display cases that you can get on Sideshow...they look pretty cool!

RobertoBagg10,

Big thanks to you Ironmann for enlarging the pics for me! :hi5:

You did an amazing job so far. I think it would looks better if you can give it a similiar effect as this. Either, way you can't go wrong with what you have right now.

Thanks Greatwall, tried to keep the battle damage as realistic as possible and didn't want to go crazy with it. I like your Hulkbuster though...I think Iron Man pieces are crying out to have some battle damage...I mean on the 1/4 maquette there were already a few little touches of battle damage here and there added by Sideshow but not enough in my opinion. Now my custom maquette will also go beautifully with the new Iron Man Mark IV LSB coming out next year! That bust is battle damaged to perfection!:yess:

Hi guys! My completed custom Battle Damaged War Machine Maquette will be finished at the end of this week so please stay tuned for the finale pics along side my custom Iron Man Maquette! Thanks for looking and for your support :wave

It looks great!

I have to say I would love to get one of these, but I just can't afford it on the secondary market. I hope they come out with a new one some day.
