This is a Spider-man only statue yet it almost doesn't feel like it. Instead of stuffing 3 villains and a superhero into 1 statue i would of rather more focus on spider-man. He can still be just as dynamic but instead of telling the story in a single piece let multiple pieces do it. Would feel less busy maybe.

Valid point! I can understand what your saying. But with myself I didn't get that feeling. I loved how Spiderman looks so unique in this piece. I do like the the base which is more of a diorama than anything else I have seen in the past. I didn't even think about weather I should or not it was an easy purchase, same goes for Falcon also. I am really loving the lineup. I decided not to bother with Black Panther, it's a little too simple. But expect great things once the movie gets released.

That is so true. The conversion rate is Cheaper through Sideshow.

Your looking at $1500 Australian / seeing as our dollar has hit a low for the past few years

Well the piece is way over priced on Popcultcha (Australia).

For example the Falcon piece is priced on the Sideshow website for $799.99 USD going now for $1,199.99 AUD on Popcultcha, but the Spider-Man piece is lower at $750.00 USD, but priced at a much higher $1,499.99 AUD on Popcultcha

This was available for preorder on their site way before Sideshow got theirs. So I'm thinking their supplier for this particular piece is probably direct with a Brazilian company. And maybe because of contracts paid/signed for they can't change supplier.

Current XE exchange rate: 750 USD = 974.421 AUD

Fingers crossed it's under $1000 AUD when they post this so I don't get screwed over with custom fees. Hoping postage will bout around $100.

Still contemplating cancelling my order with Popcultcha and ordering direct with Sideshow.

I'm guessing that shipping will be around 150 USD (heck estimated shipping for the Green Goblin PF is $154.60 USD). And unless I can get a 10% voucher (which I've used before), my estimated cost will be:

750+150 USD = 900 / 0.77 * 1.03 (c/c) = 1200 AUD. At Popcultcha after 10% it'll be $1350 AUD. So if we get hit with GST (value added tax) and customs any savings would pretty much get wiped out.

And of course in the event of any issues, return shipping/times etc could be a pain.

The box for this is absolutely humongous like the size of a small fridge. Sideshow might not ship it to Australia. If you manage to dodge duty with the exchange rate as it is well done but the shipping won't be cheap

That's why I thought shipping would be a minimum of $150 USD.

That's why I ended up ordering with Popcultcha. I didn't feel like rolling the dice in regards to the exchange rate. Pop's pricing has been all over the place lately though, with some things being priced way higher than they seemingly should.

XM studios was a relatively new company a couple of years back. And as a new company you always want to make a product that would be a breakthrough and so Magneto comes to life and it will be a grail for many many years to come. Iron Studios is also a relatively new company but I don't think they have ever done a statue that would really put them high on the pedestal. My question is would this Spidey have the potential of being a grail very much so like how Mags was for XM and how the original Dr. Doom was for SS.
