Statue Iron Studios: Batman vs Bane Diorama

Shocking that a comic book inspired statue looks like...a comic book.

Like a bad comic-book, perhaps. He's not bending forward that much, only his head is. This guy is stiff as heck. Yeah, I can see how Liefeld fans might enjoy such a torso.

This is a disappointment for me after their remarkable Supes-Doomsday dio. Money saved.

I have seen it from several angles now, both painted and unpainted, and in clearer pics...

...and I still find him stiff and rather bloated. Not that blurriness would substantially change the volumetrics, either. ;-)

Hey, it's just not my cup of tea. I'm sure the piece will have plenty of fans.

Already in that picture, it looks much better.

For whatever reason, I didn't notice the bats in the first picture. Very nice touch.

I think everyone needs to calm their ****. We need to see more pics. Iron studios says they will be announcing pre-order info. soon. I'm sure it will come with more pics and different angles, with different lighting as well.

Do I for one look nervous, CASC? The piece just doesn't grab me like the Superman dio did (too bad I'm not into Supes), so I mentioned why and will leave it at that. It's not like I was angry at IS, or had already paid for something that turned out to be a production disaster. I'm just somewhat disappointed, but not crushed or anything like that.

I don't think any new pics will make me change my mind, and my wallet will be all the more happy for it. ;-)

I don't like the sculpt at all. The proportions in many instances are just wrong.

This is just my opinion, so for those that like it ...enjoy it.

If it was the price of the DC Collectibles Vs statues or even some of the earlier Sideshow Vs statues prices I'd be all over it but for $1200.00 you gotta Love it!

If you look at any Modern Batman Statue, you can see that the belt is covering his bottom abs. Look at the Modern PF from Sideshow. He is also bending down just a little bit.
