Meanwhile, re the BP claws, after seeing that other folks' have claws that are "off" and Iron Studios own prototype and displays have claws more "off" than mine, I decided to quit worrying about it, and just enjoy - and be happy that this "engineering" of a vibrant sculpt is so well done and stable - e.g., the arms went on beautifully, good magnets (like, I was interested in SSC's Kier, but felt bad about the reports of the arm coming loose in some pieces. )

So, OK, now my BP needs a friend, bring on the Winter Soldier...

Man I am so so happy with how this turned out! Have been waiting to order him but really wanted to see in hand pics first and they did not disappoint! Just ordered him and in time too,sideshow says they're selling out. Got him for $445 after I used my rewards

Ugh ... I'm so tempted to get him coz I love how he turned out and the entire presentation is just amazing but I really got no room nor money for another of these bad boys ... Gotta be just Cap and Buck for me, sadly. ;_;

That's a great price! Congrats! Maybe LOL I am over-excited 'coz it's my first IS piece and first of this kind of art, but all I can say is that I am in awe, really. He has PRESENCE - the flawless paint, the details - there's not one chintzy feeling thing. This BP is truly jaw-dropping IMO.

There are 1/6 figs I won't be getting, at least for a long while, that was one thing I gave up for BP. And for sure, BP - for me - is heavy (31 lb. ship weight) - if I hadn't already had some robust bookshelves I'd be shopping - you can't put these just anywhere. (For all my happy talk about using vertical space LOL - well, I was going to put up this "bridge unit" over the TV, but now I think not - think these pieces are too heavy to risk that plan).

And I just can't go for all six - BP was the extra unplanned "splurge". But it's all good IMO - gives me time to re-shuffle stuff and save for whatever Infinity War might bring. If nothing else, seeing BP and War Machine makes me feel more confident about Bucky - who was my #1 want - closely followed by Cap. So we'll see if IS can keep up its QC!

I would weigh for you if I could, but all I have is a c**p bathroom scale - but srsly, you will be more than fine w. that desk unit (awesome!) 'coz I own the same one! It's a BEAST (I know, I assembled it!). Even thinking about getting another shelf to do a hack on, it's an excellent shelf/hutch well braced w. the two inner support boards and the nice thick desk top and top of the hutch. You're good!

Here's BP popped onto the hutch (which sits on the matching desk - also a BEAST)





The "problem" w. BP and the hutch isn't the strength of this desk/hutch, which is more than enough - it's 1)BP base has that pointy bit in front (which happily Bucky, Cap and Falcon don't have) and 2) in my case, the desk is in a room that in summer gets IMO just too hot to be a good place to keep figs and 3) I wanna have my statues where I watch TV/movies LOL.

Right there with you all the way!!! For some of us, I think of the STRESS - the money, ordering even after the Spidey dust-up (and then Falcon), the LONG wait, we've read statue horror stories, I guess some are paying xtra import charges - I know I'll be pretty agitated opening those boxes, because Cap and especially Bucky are PORTRAITS - no hiding a messed-up face.

Just hope we all feel as good, in the end, as I do about BP.

I'm thinking, not long. Not w. good in-hand reviews out now, and there will be more hype as BP movie films. IMO only think holding back a sell-out is hope for a BP movie version at some point and/or some folks still want movie-correct face - I think.

But IMO BP lovers - if they saw this is person - wouldn't be able to resist. He's spectacular in hand.

Yea I am a huge BP fan and I think like everything else marvel does, they really nailed the design of his suit and this statue is the perfect representation of that. Probs the only thing we're getting for a long time and if sideshow does drop a movie bp, it'll be literally years before we see it. Still waiting on a moon Knight... Lol

Now I'm relieved I don't need to find another place to put them. ^^'' They'll have quite a presence though with Buck being about 70 cm but I think it will still look great on my Hemnes coz it's white. I really just hope that I won't have any problems with Cap or Buck coz I've ordered them locally and those should arrive a bit later than the Sideshow pieces.

Seriously, I love that BP ... that statue is simple but so damn impressive, I wish I could get it. Oh well, I'm getting the HT BP so I will have one in my display ... just not the poly. ^^

Yeah I agree. I only found 1 video review of Black Panther and that's almost impossible to watch coz the guy uses some kinda head camera. I also found 2 videos with War Machine but that's it. I know, when I get my Buck and Cap, I'll make a damn video. ^^

Doubt its true, cause sideshow likes to play those games but it's nice to know that it's getting there. Don't really see how having multiple vids up tho equals a product sold out. Not everyone that has one takes pictures let alone videos lol

Oh agreed. Seems very few ppl have reviews up of good products. Especially ones of decent quality. I need to see all the rich detail!

Agree. Don't know how it was for other Iron Studios releases, but LOL sort of feel like it's a mysterious cult thing where only a few "in the know" even know about these pieces - but apparently (even Spidey) they are so good! There's a glowing review on the statue forum about the Batman figure. It's so sparse re reviews I feel like I'd put something up, but never done that.

Tho that's also IMO at Iron Studios' door - not doing more marketing, even on their own website *baffled*. WM and BP are finally in folks' hands, but you go on their FB page and it's all pictures of SW 1/10s and not even in-hand stuff. A few low-res bad videos. WS is up for release next and not one production pic - nothing. Their "concept store" site has more pictures of someone's pet iguana (and I love animals so that's cool) but you'd think they would have more product pictures from all angles.
