Damn. Well it is on the back on the base.

But if you're able to get a replacement, all the better.

And if they do ask you to smash it, can you take a few pics. As that base is probably the heaviest base I have in my collection and I want to know how solid it actually is.

I'm going to tell them that I don't have a sledge hammer that big
I have never seen a base this big, I was shocked
I will definitely post pictures if they ask me to smash it

A little glue and paint could fix that up. But if you're not the DIY type, better to contact SS sooner rather than later.

I could fix it but I think it would bother me that it is busted...it's just so much to spend to have it arrive damaged. I did contact Sideshow, we'll see what happens

Just wanted to say am sorry - I hate breaking pieces even when IMO a piece never should have left the factory. Plz keep us posted!

Sorry to hear about the damage this base is hefty. Mine just arrived and I'm thrilled with him. If Falcon and Black Panther are any indication so far I'm feeling pretty good about the rest of the dio.
Some quick and dirty phone shots for now. I want to break out the dslr on BP and Falcon later in the week.

Congrats! Just...gorgeous. Looked at a whole bunch of BP poly figures yesterday online and this one and XM's are the best, IMO. And for me I think I'm thinking I like this better than the XM - for me. Not that I could afford XM.

Happy I fell off the fence w. this guy - just love the clean paint and the claws against the metal and the whole sculpt. Nice to hear about the heavy base - one thing that people HAVE NOT said is that they feel he is in any way unstable. Read too many stories about leaning figures!

Oh man, T'challa just arrived, and he is gorgeous! I'm primarily a 1/6th collector, and this is my first statue... Consider me convinced

Yeah. The correct details were sculpted, dunno why they didn't paint them at the factory. *shrug*

I kept staring at this trying to figure out why it's so impressive, and then I finally realized it wasn't that you just added the missing lines, but painted the eyes, as well. Funny how small tweaks can make a big impact.

Opened mine up today. All I can say is "WOW". I love this. I am 2 for 2 on Iron Studios pieces (1st being the Iron Man Age of Ultron). Here are some iPhone pics. While I would love to complete the mask paint, I am not a painter by trade and I am afraid I'd ruin it. Still, I am very pleased. I'd love to get some other pieces from this line and still might (Cap and Bucky are in my sights).

What kind of brush do you guys use to paint the eyes? I'm a little worried I'd mess it up doing it since painting isn't my "thing." But maybe it's relatively easy to do?

Specifically? I used a Windsor Newton series 7 #1.

I have a lot of experience painting miniatures, so I'm comfortable with a brush. With that said, the lines on the mask were relatively easy as they're raised objects; you're only looking to apply paint to the top surface of a 3-dimensional shape which helps keep the lines clean. As opposed to trying to freehand a straight/narrow line on a completely flat surface.

You'd just want to make sure the piece was stable (I laid mine down on a folded towel on a table) and well-lit so you can see what you're doing. You'd brace your painting hand on either the piece or even create a rest with your other wrist. Most importantly, don't overload your brush. It's better to build up thin coats than glob it on. And rinse the brush regularly; working with small amounts of paint means the paint will start to dry up faster.
