I'm just pissed with the dishonesty. It's still a small run but if I'd known they had this in Oz I'd have tried to get this there where shipping and taxes are so much better. Just kinda disappointing really since for international collectors a large chunk of the price of IS pieces goes to the shipping and handling.

I'm a little confused - where exactly were these special editions released? I thought Iron Studios could only sell these in Brazil?

I believe their only for Australia... Guess they got an Australia license...

Ah...interesting. I know shipping between Australia and the US is very expensive, but I wonder if it would have been cheaper than the shipping from Brazil that I paid...

Oh well!!!

It say's Semic and Ikon Collectibles on the underside of the base.

Ikon is usually an Australian and I believe New Zealand distributor.

I did a google search on Semic, and that may be a EU distributor?

That is the one good thing for those of us in the US, it wouldn't have been any cheaper.

Right? :lol

I'll be interested to see if Iron Studios addresses this at all on their FB page/website, just because of some of the confusion/upset I'm seeing around the web.

Did someone say they did this for the Iron Man statue as well? One of the reasons I chose to pay a premium for it was due to the low edition size.

yes. Iron Man and Spiderman have been confirmed, in addition to cap.

Well now I know why my Australian distributor was so sure I was still going to get my Iron Man piece even though my Cap has just shipped to me.

So if the ES wasn't as small as we were led to believe....should the price have been lower? :huh

Well I'm a bit conflicted here... I'm getting the special edition version after ordering what I thought was the original version months ago. I'm glad to at least be getting a statue BUT I think it's a load of **** at the same time.

It's funny, this is the most action this thread has seen in several days. Such a shame for a great piece of art.

Gotta say I truly wondered for months now how come EVERYONE was able to snag one of those Iron Studio awesome 1/4 pieces... now I understand... it's a real shame though that they still didn't come clean about it...

Well, seems like they made this decision after the original ES was set. Collectors would have been upset, whether they mentioned it or not, especially those who paid a premium. I think price would have been the same regardless of what they set the ES at. Make a decision upfront and be transparent about it. Not good for a young company trying to build customer loyalty.

:exactly:

Just wasn't handled well... Hope they address it.
