This is a serious question as I collect a couple of their lines and am eagerly awaiting the release of the Harry Potter 1/4 figures. I don't want to start an us vs them thread but it sure seems that their releases and announcements have come to a crawl at best. I saw a lot of new stuff at SDCC only to see about 50% of it even announced thus far (5 months later).

hopefully...they way they've treated they're fan base over the last few years has been appalling & I hope it truly has come back to bite them on the ass

GG = huge edition sizes, other site of the world con exclusives that are impossible to get unless you pay top dollar or they flood the market with so many that in 3 months you can buy it for $20 :lol

I'm not trying to bash the company, though I do hate many of the things you mentioned above.

I was hoping maybe someone more in the know could shed some light on the situation.

I dont think he's bashing the company. I think he's just giving the reasons behind people abandoning them which are potentially the same reasons behind their would-be demise

Well, let's see. Their LOTR line is dead. Their Pirates line is dead. It looks like their Indy line is dead. They announce product at conventions that never make it to pre-order...for example, still waiting on the Fett/Han in Carbonite maquette and the Indy/Henry Sr. statue to go up for pre-order. Lines within licenses are failing...classic busts, for example. And they've even cut back drastically in product they offer in existing lines.

Between their poor customer service, average quality at best with product, and mismanagement of exclusives and their PGM, the glory days of GG are over. I don't think they'll fold, but they will cut back and only offer a few key lines. They started out with just the SW busts and I have a feeling that eventually they'll go back to that.

I used to have a good bit of GG on display in my collection, but now I only have one or two pieces left. I finally got turned off to their animation line.

But to add, GG is having an insane sale right now with items almost half their cost!

Another sign of a company about to fold.

I was really looking forward to an Indy animated maquette. I hope they make one. I was also considering getting the Indy and dad motorcycle statue. It'll be too bad if they go out, although from what I've heard it really does sound like they'll have partially done it to themselves.

I loved all 4 HP PF's they had on display and really got my hopes up that that line could take off. But now I'm wondering if we'll even get Voldemort and Harry.

Weird, they seemed like a real juggernaut... but it does show what can happen when you upset the collector base.

Maybe it's just me, but I never saw the appeal with GG. Their sculpts are so so, at best. I did like things like their clones, and armored figures. Other than that, not a fan really. So yeah, if they don't tidy up, i'd say they are done for.

Maybe when they file for bankruptcy they will file for an exclusive version that can only be filed in antartica. :dunno

The Potter line is by far their best and most consistent. It's up to 20+ busts and we've gotten most of the main characters but there are a few left that I'd love to get if GG are gonna go under.

Well GG just released 2 sets of Star Wars Bust-ups to Toys R Us. This could be a sign of them reworking their sales targets. These are mostly new sculpts too.

I've seen these in person at the store. They come in sets of three for $15 each.

The quality is TERRIBLE!! The color markings are slapped on with no precision at all. Rex's helmet markings (Jaig eyes) are lopsided on half the sets I saw. I couldn't believe this was the same company that made the stellar Series 2 (Sith Lords) Bust-Ups!!
