Is it fair to say that Terminator collectibles are one of the most popular?

I suppose if HT's weren't so goofy in the past we'd be more patient. There are reasons to delay or put off such releases but there are also just as many good reasons to hurry it up. The only reason it'd be ok to delay things is the age of the films. I'd love to say "I have no doubt they'll release them" but again they have called an abrupt quits before on lines that needed more.

Just wanted to start a discussion to see what people think about this. Most threads that are Terminator related seem to go on for a long long time and personally I think next to Star Wars, Terminator collectibles are some of the most popular in the movie collecting world.

And if there wasn't a chance that they could just suddenly drop the license before they've totally mined it then why can't they just come out and say definitively 'Yes we will be making this figure and that figure'. Maybe they aren't saying anything because they can't guarantee that they'll follow through on any promises.

I'm still optimistic, its too early to say they're done since the T1 T-800 just came out and figures like the Guardian Predator came out quite a long time after they seemed to be done with Predator 2.....but dammit I don't want them to draw it out that much!

Yeah it really is too bad these lines do follow under the "no rush" category. I mean 27 and 20 year old films have waited this long so whats the rush now? Sucks. I just have a feeling they'll release the BD versions last, if of course they do follow through. I can't see them baling out, i'm sure we'll see them.

Around here I think its definitely Marvel first, then followed by Star Wars/Predator/Terminator. Those are all pretty close in their popularity.

SSF Message to Hot Toys RE: Terminator lines

That Milk article for the 1984 T-800 listed Kyle Reese and even Sarah as next. But again, it is probably idle writer's speculation.

As far as Hot Toys go,Terminator easily wins. When compared to the Predator line or Iron Man the Terminator figures are just a superior quality. In both durability and design.
