"Please no" on stormie or Han? :peace

on Han...I think the one they did is still very good. All it needs to be perfect is a repaint..Anyone remembers the proto? was awesome.

Stormy PF should be a welcome addition to the line.

I agree! And I also agree with AmanaMatt :rock

I don't agree with the people say that the prototype was awesome -- it was better, but still looked off to me. But in the end it doesn't matter what the prototype looked like, since that's not what we're buying. Plus, his pose was rather awkward.

For the price one pays to get these statues I think we should get a decent paintjob from Sideshow and not have to spend extra to ship it to someone to get it repainted so that it looks like the character I purchased in the first place. that whole concept seems so backward to me! I understand Sideshow can't mass produce these and get a "perfect" specimen every time but I think a much better job can be done on some of these pieces. I hope I'm not coming off as an ass, because that really is not my intention, but all I have to do is look at my PF Indy and ask myself "why can't Sideshow have this type of quality on a consistent basis? they did it with this piece, why can't they do it with other pieces?"

Well, there's a lot of different answers to that question. Of course Sideshow has a bunch of different sculptors working for them, so the style and likeness of different statues will differ. And in terms of production, I think the fact that all of their stuff is outsourced to China definitely has an effect. I imagine that they've used a number of different factories over the years, and I'm sure that the overall quality can differ even within the same factory as time passes and employees change. Also, I'm just guessing here, but I think Sideshow is somewhat lacking in communications with their factories. The whole issue with the material used in the Moria Orc PF, and the mix-up with the 12" Han Solo's blaster makes me think that there isn't enough oversight going on there. With them being so far away and speaking another language, I imagine that it can be hard to make sure that they're doing what they're supposed to be doing, and even harder to communicate what it is that needs to be fixed when there's a problem. I think one reason Hot Toys has been doing so well is that they're based in the same area and speak the same language. That's got to be a huge advantage.

WOW..this would be a cool new Han...

I bought my Han PF after seeing it @ CIII I liked the whole package clothes holster/blaster & sculpt. I've never really been disapointed with mine but if its something different like the Stormie or Hoth PF I'm in for sure.
