You know, I actually came over to the Freaks board about two years ago after I found out about it, right about the time Sideshow started the Star Wars line.

It was Star Wars that brought me here, but now I'm more interested in Lord of the Rings and would love to pick up some of the Dead (zombies rule!), maybe even a few old X-Files figures (to fight the zombies) ... since getting into Sideshow stuff they've become my favorite company.

It was the wealth of information, the complete enthusiasm of the members and the seriously laid-back nature that brought me here and makes this the only forum I frequent on any regular basis. Where else can you get a serious fix for fantasy, the undead, and sci-fi all in one place?

Are the Freaks going elitist? **** no. This board rocks!

I have to admit I was unaware of the Freaks board until Sideshow got the Star Wars license. Now I've been collecting Sideshow figures since the 8" Universal Monster figures... but I was unaware of message boards like this. And in all honesty I posted over at RS for awhile just to get more info about the SW figures... but I was usually bored because a) it was only Star Wars and b) some people were real *********s.

But I agree with what a lot of other people have said, what makes this board fun (for me) is that everyone is welcome, even those with unpopular opinions. And most everyone is very cool... and those that aren't get razzed, so there is a good balance.

And one other point... a gold Lightsaber?!? WTF is up with that... now that is some elitist and down-right pointless **** I guess at some point Luke decided to add some bling to his accessories
