Is there any Joe/Cobra vehicle you'd pay $600+ for?

:lol :dunno Hasbro was buying tons of crap from Bandai and Takara at that time, I think.

I just remember being stoked back in the day. My bud told me that Jetfire was in stock at Mervyn's and I hauled ass up there on my bike to discover Rick Hunter's Valkyrie in a Transformer box. A big WTF since I already owned one from another friend who picked it up for me visiting family in Japan. :lol

I thought they got in trouble over it, I remember it even had the veritech markings still on it.

:lol

Seriously. Or was it the Macross logo.

My brother owned it and my older sister helped apply the (Macross / Veritech) decals and stickers. My brother was like awesome, a Veritech! :lol

Hell that was almost 30 years ago and I've had a lot of kicks to the head since then so it might have just been the Macross logo. I do remember thinking it was strange that Jetfire was a Veritech.

Speaking of Robotech I'd pay a good amount if I could get my hands on a transforming cyclone. Rand from the Invid saga was my favorite when I was a kid. I have the smaller one they made a few years back but would love it in 1:6 scale.

Back in the day, finding Jetfire was like finding Gold (same with the dang Dinobots)

I begged Grandma for that piece with tears when I saw that piece in the Service Merchandise ailse.

Psssst... the Skystriker based on the F-14 Tomcat. :wink1: :lol

I knew you'd be here to set the record straight if my research was incomplete Nam. :wink1:
Edited
For a little perspective, a 1/6th Skystriker would be roughly 5' 6" long, have a wingspan of 5' 4".

The USS Flagg would be 182 feet long and 40 feet tall, or the size of Wal-Mart and have an estimated shipping weight of a large house if it were truely 1/6 the size of a real Aircraft Carrier.

The Flagg would likely only be 24 feet long if produced by Hasbro, or 3 times the size of the original 1/18th Flagg. Seems that most of our vintage vehicles are a little smaller scale than the figures, as the skystriker would actually be 3 1/2 feet long verses the actual product that's 22" long if based on an F14 Tomcat (and 10' 4" in 1/6). Now you know.

I had that 1:18 Scott Bernard and his bike that changed into a jetpack. One of my more favorite toys. Some ****** stole it though and I was never able to find it.

Yeah, looking at prices now, I definitely regret not picking him up. They had a whole shelf full. :(

I'm glad I grew up when I did, being a child of the 80s we had all the good toys, cartoons and comics. Now that I'm older I get to relive all those great memories with the stuff that's out now. I just wish I would have kept a lot of the stuff I either blew up or gave away.
