You really can never complain about 80s horror again if you find enjoyment out of the TV version ;)

Obviously I don't agree about the Shark. .

I like the 80's horror films, but most are cheese crap. That's why I like them.

Ha, your beloved little Shark can't even get out of the water. Penny wins!! He can probably turn into that shark and come out of the toilet!!! Can't beat that.

Put that in the third film! :D

Hasn?t the book been fully covered...poorly lol

I?m sure extended cut dvd will be released though.

The movies are probably better than the book. Everyone says the book is a mess that makes no sense. WB would be foolish not to make more IT movies. They can easily make a prequel or a sequel that's not based on the book. That might actually be better because they can have Penny kill more main characters, and with no restrictions from a book, they can do whatever they want, maybe improve where the book failed.

The book, especially Chapter 2 was a hot mess. These movies did a really good job of adapting it.

Re: IT: Chapter 2 (September 6th, 2019)

It's a long book. I read two books in my early 20's of King while on road trips. IT and The Shining (also long), and IT was a strange one to get through.

Would it still have to come from King?

Whip out the cocaine and fire up that Pennywise furnace lol

I wonder if people would be open to using Pennywise in new scenarios

Since he?s cosmic they could explore why Earth was chosen, was it random, accidental or picked for a reason.

Screw it just give me a Pennywise vs Jason vs Freddy with dumb teens lol

Pay King with bags of cocaine and don't let him near the story. Like Lucas, he's got good ideas, but he needs someone else to structure and filter those good ideas into something that makes sense. Make up a whole new story or have Richie be the main character since he was affected by the deadlights, maybe he has some psychic connection like the girl in Halloween 4. :lol Or just have Penny mess with a new generation of kids in the same town. Let him come back angrier than even after his big defeat and be less playful. Or a prequel, that shows his home world and arrival Man of Steel style. :lol

:lol :lol

We are going to follow Henry Bowers around for some time!

Oh...what is he going to do?

Not much!

Oh...ok.

lol

Wasn't It's arrival filmed but cut from the first movie?

Re: IT: Chapter 2 (September 6th, 2019)

Is that in the book?

The arrival is in the book. Similar to the movie except the kids perform a smokehouse ritual in the underground clubhouse and see the vision that, in the movie, Mike sees with the local native tribe.

Re: IT: Chapter 2 (September 6th, 2019)

If they wanted to they could easily milk the book for more stories. There are “Interlude” chapters in the book - Mike details It’s appearances over the recorded history of Derry. They are some of my favorite parts of the book.

Pennywise also sometimes introduces himself as Bob or Robert Gray which could be the man who inspired his clown persona. I’d watch a movie about that development.

You talking about that guy Pennywise turning into a shark? Hell I can just say... "You're a Turd, you're a turd, you're a turd" and then watch him turn into a turd, rip out his little turd heart, and flush him down the toilet.

Some monster.

I swear I?m not just here to push up my glasses and say ?well in the book? but there is a point where someone repeats a second hand story of seeing old Bruce in the canal.

Re: IT: Chapter 2 (September 6th, 2019)

IT is older than the universe, so gotta give it props for longevity...

Re: IT: Chapter 2 (September 6th, 2019)

I would actually welcome a Pennywise Prequel ala Rogue One where they all Fail and everybody dies :yess:

Re: IT: Chapter 2 (September 6th, 2019)

That remains my biggest gripe with this character how easily he is the defeated even by preteen kids.

Great looking monster sharp teeth and clowns make a great combo but they need a more challenging way to defeat him.
