Saw this flick at AFI Film Fest last November. Loved the director's 1st film and so had HIGH expectations for this. Unfortunately, my expectations were not met. There's some nice moments in the film and Maika is awesome, but overall the film failed, IMO. There's a nice atmosphere to the movie, but the scares were AWOL.

2015's all about Mad Max: Fury Road!!!

If you are going to see horror simply for 'scares' then the issue is with you not the movie.

Not enough sudden loud noises?

I saw this last night. I thought it was pretty great in a retro 80s kind of way. It's very much like a modern day retelling of a nightmare on elm street. I will say the music was the best part. ****ing awesome score.

Well, I know who won't be seeing......it.

Ended up seeing this cause of my woman. Thought it was decent but too dragged out. Soundtrack was good. I'd give it a 6.5.

Saw this last weekend. While the look, acting and general story are all fantastic, the movie can't be bothered to explain.......ANYTHING. Its creepy, but never got to the 'scary meter' for me.

That's the whole point and why it's creepy. It's getting great reviews, although I've yet to meet a non-reviewer who liked it.
