Prime is the greatest hero of my generation. No other hero class character can hold a candle to Prime, IMHO!!

Prime is and was better than them all!!!

i wholeheartedly agree...no character comes close in my mind and Transformers isn't even at the top of my list of show/movies...near the top though.

Wow, thanks for all the responses everybody! I'm gonna go with the Classics and Masterpiece stuff!!

And i'm with you King, the Masterpiece Ultra Magnus is the shiznit!!:monkey5

I picked one up off of Ebay a few days ago. I love the blue/white paint scheme!

My Transformers collection is primarily based around the World's Smallest Transformers, Micromaster/Minicon-sized versions of G1 characters made as trading figures by Takara.

They stopped after only two series of them and some characters (like Prime and Ultra Magnus) are too small relative to the others, but there are other pieces (such as the Titanium Ultra Magnus) that can be substituted to go with them, and they don't make the citybots like Metroplex and Trypticon look ridiculously undersized.

You can make some awesome displays:

I don't currently have my full collection out and on display, but this is what it looked like a couple of years ago:

You mean the Prime repaint? :D

I would've loved it if Takara actually designed a new Magnus, instead repainting the Prime figure. :(

I agree. It would be cool to get a new design, but I love the paint scheme, even if it's on a Prime base!

Well considering I'm 10+ years older than you, I was probably "too mature" for cartoons and into things like the John Hughes movies, learning to drive and stealing wine coolers. :lol :lol :lol :lol

I think that's the WST (World's Smallest Transformers) Devastator, it's awesome. 'Phorge, can you confirm?

It along with Bruticus looks like the recent China knockoffs.

I can tell cause the stickers are all wrong on Devastator and Bruticus is the wrong color.

the person i bought the 1st season from that sent Armada instead just replied and said to send it back and he would refund my money. I paid via PayPal(ebay). This sounds a little dangerous because he could say he didn't receive it, etc. I'm going to send it with tracking but has anyone ever done this before and do you have any advice?

I've sent stuff back befores with no problems. If you paid with Paypal, you should be well protected.

It's the 18cm- the medium-sized one. I have the original and both of the smaller KOs:

Woops! I forgot you are 31 and was thinking you were in your mid 20's...:lol Those 80's movies rule! :rock :rock
Agreed. Sure as hell better than the crap Hollywood throws at the 'teen crowd' every year.

80s and 90s had some pretty damn good movies(Terminator, Rambo, Predator, Schindlers List, Blade and the ones you mentioned above). Now basically every movie has some girl taking off her clothes(Not that I mind, just gets kind of old after awhile  ). 90s had some damn good family shows too. Love to come from school an' turn on the tube to watch them. I remember when Saturday night was the best night for shows, too, even though SNL still sucked back then(Only the original 70s cast was hilarious, now it's about sex, sex and more sex). Which brings me to this question; WTF happened?!

I remember loving Transformers Armada until I watched the original 80s cartoon. Blew Armada out of the water. Had better voice casting and a more interesting plot, plus now Jazz is my favorite Transformer. Loved the animated Movie aswell, even though they killed of Ironhide, Wheeljack, Starscream and Optimus. But the best thing about it; it wasn't anime(Which I despise with a passion). Annoying as hell, plus the characters look weird with their bug eyes and pointy noses.

I am interested in Michael Bay's film, though. I have to say that even as much as I like the 80s cartoon, it would be an EXTREMELY bad idea to put those designs in a Live-Action movie. Too boxy, that and it wouldn't look realistic enough, even though we are talking about about giant transforming robots from outer space. :p

Well guys, I use to play with them when I was a kid, and now I wanna play with them as my 24 year old (still a kid) self. I've grabbed the Revoltech stuff, but now I wanna get into the regular Transformers like Takara and Hasbro stuff.

In terms of the cartoon/comic classic style, what toys do you guys recommend? I really like the Masterpiece ones, and the Re-Issues are nice too, as well as the "Classics" that are out/coming out these days. What should I buy to both play with and pose?

Thanks much guys. All these collection pics have inspired me to go ahead and get my act together, and grab some sick Transformer stuff!:D

Quick question--- how tall/big are the Revoltech Optimus and Megatron? I've been debating about adding them to my collection but I couldn't find anywhere that showed their size--- anyone out there able to help out?
