i have a feeling this movie is going to be from the human perspective and the effect these "aliens" landing will have on earth. i wish it started out like that but quickly changed to the transformers perspective, much like the cartoons were.

Those are the Mega SCF figures. They are Takara's lackluster attempt at trying to copy Bandai's Mobile Suit in Action Line from about 4 yrs back except they are TFs and not Gundam. The figures come with nice accessories but they are Crap when compared to Bandai's (Superior in Every way) MIA line. If you are dying for non transformable Action Figure versions of Convoy and Megatron I would HIGHLY Reccommend you get the Revoltech ones (Altho they are about an inch smaller) and Stay Away from the Mega SCF line.

If you're strictly looking for first Series G1 characters
The Revoltech are nice. They have only done Convoy and Megagtron (Ultra Magnus too but he's just a white color Convoy) They are also small (Right under 5 inches) but they are lots of fun to pose and have very exaggerated dynamic sculpts. Acessories are good too. If you're looking for Transformable toy The THS-02 is also very nice-

It's very small but it's superior to the MasterPiece Convoy in many ways. It's also much more dynamic than the MP-01 or MP-04 and has a lot more attitude and options.


Of course there's also the MasterPiece series which are pretty nice There are 5 released so far but only 3 of them are unique toys. If Money is not an issue and you want to have the most complete lineup I would reccommend to skip MP-01 and 02 and just buy MP-03, 04 and 05

The new Titanium Ultra Magnus is an amazing toy, and it scales well with the THS-02 Convoy shown above.
