WOW! I know I am known for negative comments. But, I can't believe people actually bought this. Including myself. What is this saying about us? Damn are we that hard up for Star Wars that we bought frickin Bubo? I don't know I am seriously going to have to do some soul searching because this is the dumbest thing I have every pre-purchased.

Well for me, Sideshow has become the new, more expensive Hasbro, and as long as I like what's made and can afford it, I'll pick it up. I can't afford and I'm not that big on the Endor soldiers, so I cancelled those orders, but I love Jabba's palace sequence so Bubo's a nice compliment to it all. I know some people would delight in building up a large collection of ANH figures, and there are background characters that I might not get their because I'm not as big a fan, it all depends on your tastes.

Thats a great point. However If you remember Bubo made a barfing sound like 3 or 4 times on camera on the other side of the room. He was nothing. So unless you are building your home aroung the environment I say lose him. Whats next? A sarlac pit in the back yard?

Yeah, I enjoy each one as it comes along. I don't get all riled up when it's a character that I'd rather see later. It's fun to collect so why not enjoy the ride?

For me it is an issue of wanting to support Sideshow. I guess Medicom is going to put out all of the cool figures that people have been asking Sideshow to do. People have been asking for these since Luke was announced. I really don't want to support Medicom. Don't know why I feel this way I just do. I guess it could be the price point. Oh well I guess I will just have to buy Medicoms. Of course I will still buy them through Sideshow. I guess it's just like Sideshow gave up on what people really wanted. They just said we can't do it so we will offer our competetors cool stuff for you. Look at what happen with Mcfarlane stuff. They all became instant classics and are now worthless. I believe this happened because he started making to many dumb figures and the fans wanted something better. This backfired on Mcfarlane. Now all of his stuff is worthless. Want proof check out E-bay. Even the Stealth Predators are pretty cheap compared to what they used to be. While I don't collect for value. It is nice knowing that something I buy may be worth something. At least not less than what I paid for it. I just don't want Sideshow to be the next Mcfarlane.

You know, I'm glad Sideshow is covering the less traveled path first, while Medicom does what they do best.

This stuff takes serioius time to make, and if we're realistically going to talk about when we'll have a complete SW lineup, it could take a couple of decades. It seems that for most people, a complete collection consists of mostly main characters. That's great, but in the long run, this line will be the most coveted for its crazy diversity - and quality-wise it will be near impossible for any other company to top.

For me, being a creature fan, especially those from Jabba's palace, this is the closest thing to instant gratification!

SS has the license and will make the "bigger" characters...there is no doubt about that. I'll be content with Jabba and crew for 2007 so if they don't come out with troopers or vader, etc. this year i won't mind.

That "wait around and release bigger characters later" philosophy killed the Buffy line. Star Wars fans are a different breed though, they'll buy even the most insignificant characters because they want the entire universe represented in their collections.

I'm getting Bubo but I passed on the Rebel Trio, so I don't need EVERYTHING, but if I think it'll make a cool addition to my personal collection, I'll get it.

I don't mind spending more time at Jabba's Palace. God knows we spent plenty of time in the Jedi Council!
