I've still got one of those! I love the fact that the base is metal; it's so heavy. Stays in place on my coffee table when I'm ripping through an old favourite like 1943 :gun

What? I'd say a lot or most of us that visit this section are children of the 80's. I was born in 85 myself and was playing games heavily in 89.

Yup, I was born in 82. Owned the power glove...worthless but innovative! I remember being SOOO blown away by the Super Mario 3 sneak peak!!

To this day I wonder how that kid knew about the secret warp whistle. How? How?

Yeah, being a good gamer can make you insightful...but not like that. And in the 80s, games had cheats that you could NEVER figure out unless the designer that put it there spilled the beans.

The 80s....the golden age of gaming:

When side scrollers were just called video games.

When every game had a musical score that sounded like a techno nightmare.

When Hi-def was a casual greeting towards the hearing impared

When Blue Ray was just a sad friend

When Processor Speed meant how fast your blender blades could spin

When Blue-tooth meant you should see a dentist

Ahh the good old 80s!!

i loved the Advantage. i still use it when i drag my NES out of storage once a decade.:lol

as for the power pad. my friend had it and i remember playing the track and field. when you had to do the long jump event we would jump right off the pad so your guy goes sailing about 100 yards and then you'd step on the pad again to make him land. good ol' fashioned cheating.:lol
