Is your auntie visiting this week?

Nah, I'd say thats pretty status quo for him. He _____es and moans more than most women I know. :lol

What he wants in a play by play of when and what characters are coming. Sideshow has never done that and I don't know any high end company that does. They do a good job of saying this character will see something in 2011 or whatever.

I always thought Cobra was racist. Other than that retarded Bison, were there ever any black guys in Cobra?
--

What about VIPERS?

For we all know there are African Americans, Asians, & Hispanics within the rank of VIPERS and COBRA being racist only have Caucasian as officers and troopers . . . and maybe Crimson Guards,

:lol

Sideshow planned to release Yoda's home for Christ sake man. They can atleast do a fang, sky hawk, or even a Jump jetpack, Manta. Or stop doing the little wall set and do a battle stations such as machine gun defense, missle defense unit, mortar defense unit. There's the battle stations, who remember the Bivouac or the mountain howitzer? Those pieces would be so much better than the wall piece.

Why even post these stupid ____in zero info questions???

Jesus Christ Sideshow, are these the only questions you get?? Heres one, ARE YOU GOING TO HAVE ANOTHER PREORDER THAT DOESNT INVOLVE A VARIANT BEFORE THE END O 2010????
"It's possible....if not, look for something in 2011 for sure."

No ____.
You're starting to sound like OSCORP, bro. Smile. Or something. :monkey1

LOL, yes my auntie is visiting this week, last week and next week also

Im an inpatient prick and I know it. I just cant stand these constant fluffer Q&A's

I like these kinds of questions much more than:

Q: "Are you guys going to make Destro?"

A: "Duh, yes." :duh

We got confirmation that Shockwave of all characters is in the works just because someone went out on a limb and asked.

True enough, but those are still strange choices.

I'll defer to your expertise, gentlemen, but I was using the term "SAW" in the generic "Squad Automatic Weapon" sense, not the current M249 in use.

Anyone of the weapons experts here, please correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the term SAW only used for the M249? Has it ever been applied to any other LMGs? Just curious...

Sweet, they answered another one of my questions. :yess:

I take their answer as a resounding "yes." Why post the question and say that a new Timber is not only possible but "highly possible, dot dot dot?" Of course its not a 100% confirmation but why stir fans' anticipations only to not come through in the end?

I submitted that question many months ago. If we get a beefier cartoon Timber I'm taking full credit for pitching them the idea. :lol

Hmm... Well, that would be kind of a kick in the face to anyone who ordered the Waypoint environment, wouldn't it?

I think they could do better... How about unmasked exclusive headsculpt, possibly based on that one Marvel issue where he reveals his face. Instant "battle-damaged" version.

In Sideshow's defence, sculpting a wall is one thing... but a mechanical piece like a FANG or Skyhawk would require a lot more engineering/design work. It probably couldn't be polystone, either... And would probably cost a lot more than you think.

Some of the battle stations might be more realistic. A ruined, or even intact Cobra Bunker could be done, or maybe even the Outpost Defender...

The battle stations would be more awesome and would put our figures in action poses. As for the Fang and Sky hawk, I hope they wont be in polystone but actually vehicles for the figures.

Far from an expert, but the term SAW refers to Squad Automatic Weapon and could just as easily mean any light machine gun (LMG) carried by a soldier for suppressive fire. This could be anything from a 249, to a MK43, MK48, RPK, etc.

I think Darth Cruel was on point, the SEALs were known to use the Stoner 63.

But again, 'Nam and Cruel and the rest of you military guys know more about thiss tuff than I do. I like reading up on this stuff, but I'm no expert.

My experience is that SAW was very specifically for the M249 as it is specifically designed for infantry squads to take the place of using an M16 on full auto. The automatic rifleman from each fire team has one so there are three in a squad. Other larger machine guns are attached to platoons or are for specialized units.

Edit - Now, of course, this information is offered as trivia. I am not so snobbish that I am offended by calling any machine gun a SAW...it is cool.

Oh, yeah...on a side note...I cut down a small tree with a M249 SAW in Okinawa on a live fire exercise once. SAW is a good term for the weapon.

SEALs stopped using them in '71. They had the E3, then MK43 (during the RAH era), MK46 and are moving over to the MK48. Be nice to see Sideshow do a 1:6 MK48 for Torpedo or Wetsuit.

Yeah, I know it's a generic term - I just didn't think it was used for any other weapon. I've never heard it used for an RPK, for example...

I'm not sure what the Belgians or anyone else call it, but us Canadians (we use 'em too) just call it an LMG... I think the term SAW is US-specific.

What are the chances of seeing Tunnel Rat in the G.I. Joe line? And how about a Larry Hama likeness for the portrait? Keep up the great work!

Both great suggestions – we’ll keep it in mind! Sincere thanks for the kind words!

why even post the question when you give an answer like this???

after this Friday we will only have 2 figures in the pipeline. Red Ninja and Dusty. SS we need another figure soon. My guess is since they posted a question about african american troopers is we will see Stalker next.
