Slice looked pretty kewl. Dice looked terrible.

Well, the 1/6 line aren't statues, so it wouldn't be a repaint, but I get what you're saying.

I hope for at least a different expression, IF the SDCC 2011 EX is a Black Ninja. I don't expect a totally new head sculpt, but at least throw in a different expression, eye-wise.

Some different weapons would be cool as well...a pair of kamas, traditional Japanese long or short bow, and my biggest wish, a pair of hands with hand claws sculpted on.

a new headsculpt would not cost that much to do. a little clothes swapping between red ninja and storm shadow would make a total different figure.

Given the desert troopers have the same eyes as their regular counterparts, I wouldn't count on it. :monkey1

However, if it was a black Storm Shadow, with SS's headscuplt but black, I wouldn't have a problem with that.

Yes. They had "action features" sort of like the Super Powers toys that restricted your ability to pose them.

I never understood why Hasbro chose that route. Seems to me they'd have been better letting kids use their imagination and leaving the articulation intact. I noticed they've already started that crap with the newer figures too. :(

I don't recall these two guys at all. If Slice is the one in red I'd take him as a Comic-Con Ex as he just looks cool.

Personally, I never cared for cheap gimmicks like spring-loaded missiles and karate chop action, light up features and PERS eyeballs ( :p ), etc., but I suspect there is a fair amount of marketing research suggesting that it sells. Otherwise, we wouldn't be seeing as much of it as we do.

I dunno. Seems like some ignorant ****** executive saying, "Hey, it works for Matty's He-Man figures, we should try it!"
