Well, maybe. No doubt they'll upgrade Torpedo's gear, and I think the black and grey will look better than the baby blue.

How would you feel if they went with a camo wetsuit for Torpedo?

I have mixed feelings about it.

I thought about that, but then I'd be bummed they gave that scheme to Torpedo and not to Firefly. Maybe dark blues?

Not an expert, but the camo is probably more realistic for a SEAL, but I never really pictured Torpedo doing jungle river missions. I always pictured him in ocean missions. Especially since I had the oil rig as a kid. So for me, the green camo doesn't work.

Meh... I wouldn't like it.

I remember Hasbro repainted the 25th Anniversary Torpedo in camo for the RoC toy line. It's almost like I SHOULD like it (I loved the camo Snow Serpent repaints, for example), but it just looked off to me.

I think most people still think of grey and black when they think of a diver, not camo. That's probably why. Sideshow could easily stick to the 1983 colour scheme, add some modern details, and come up with a really great figure.

As long as he gets his spear gun, too. Underwater demolitions, a diver's knife and an MP-5 of some sort would round out his equipment nicely.

I was wondering if we were going to get a new preview tonight...

I have been on a tear buying up the Joe figs...just picked up a Cobra Officer. All I need to have the entire collection so far is the Cobra Sniper, Red Ninja and SDCC Cobra Commander (I think I'll skip him though.)

I think Zartan will still be a little ways off. The "marine" environment character was hinted at last SDCC I believe, so he could definitely be revealed any week now.

I concur. A highly wanted "name" character would probably be reserved to be revealed at an event like SDCC or Spooktacular.

But I want a figure today anyway. Any GI Joe character or Pseudo-character will be good with me. Give me a desert Trooper or a pink Ninja witha Cobra emblem on it's chest today and I am good.
