A Sideshow representative who wishes to remain anonymous had this say about this year's GI JOE display @ the SDCC.

"Those <CENSORED>ing whiny collectors need to learn shut the <CENSORED> up. They should be kissing our @ $ $ es for the figures we're still barely working on. Thanks to their blind loyalty & stupidity of paying out of their @ $ $ es over the years on the figures we did release they should be appreciative. We're too busy raping the wallets of every dumb@ $ $ collectors with our products and we'll looking forward to screwing everyone over with our ongoing deals with HOT TOYS and the new stuff from DC & MARVEL COMICS. We might as well let the arrangement with HASBRO lapse and have them design & make such $h*tty figures that all those whiny collectors will beg us to acquire the arrangement again."

After making that comment, he turned back to the many people drooling over the many displays and taking photos.

;) :p

Sideshow's biggest raping is those nice to look at,but stupid, way overpriced statues

The DC figures wouldn't exactly be the hero on an episode of Law & Order SVU. Not that it would be tolerable to watch this line be bled for the sake of that one, but other than Batman (which has his own issues) I don't see a single reason to get excited about any of those figures. Harley is an atrocity. Catwoman is bland as ****. I could go on. I'd rather not.

This was their best 1:6 line after Star Wars (and that's personal bias speaking). The least they could have done was make DC as good.

Sideshow has absolutely NO INCENTIVE or STAKE to do so because they know they can produce inferior design & quality and be guaranteed to receive/sell whatever they produce even with flaws because collectors like ourselves and newb dumb@ $ $ collectors or should I say "buyers" with absolutely no comprehension of how to appreciate & demand superior design & quality for our hard earned $. Because of this we (generally speaking) will continue to let Sideshow and other companies always get away with it regardless of how much complaining & criticizing we do . . . this has always been the case and I don't see it ever changing.

I'm surprised no one has the gusto to call out such BS right in front of those Sideshow representatives @ the SDCC and film it to see what really say (i.e. canned responses).

It all honesty . . . there is nothing . . . it's not like any of us are really going to stop buying them . . . we continue to bend over and take it . . . but seriously . . . in all the years @ the SDCC . . . how come no one had the gusto to call them out on such BS @ their display booth or any of the discussions/panels they may have held?

Youmean the ones with the sloppy factory paint apps?

Good thing I don't buy 'em although some are tempting; like that snazzy red Sonja premium format.

But it's a risk -- and I think they've grown past that. What's their success rate (production from prototype) nowadays? 40%? 60%?

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeehehehe.

I'm thinking SSC blew thier load for at lease for the Joe line this year.
I can't see them making anymore announcements for this line,
maybe late Dec~ early Jan.
Still, I can be wrong,...I've got a pretty good percentage rate going for me.:rolleyes2

Well looking at that old SDCC leaked list

It was Destro,Snake (it was Snake Blissken afterall) and Dreadnock...maybe we'll see it at Spook for an August release (like Blissken)
