I actually contemplated finding a bald figure and getting the R. Lee Ermy dress blues figure to bash him.

Far too generic. Sideshow could at least add some tweaks with the green shirts (give them some fancy new web gear and accessories), but with the dress blues, there isn't much you can do that you can't do with in precisely the same way with existing outfits. Except the head sculpt.

I don't think I'd be up for a dress blues Gung Ho. Too generic, it'd just seem like a regular USMC guy to me. I want something more like his original look.

You think Sideshow would be receptive to maybe . . . just maybe . . . producing a forum exclusive figure or an accessory/uniform set of a regular/typical GI JOE "Trooper"?

YOU KNOW . . . all those regular green shirts from the cartoon series? Basically an OD type BDU shirt and darker color BDU pants with appropriate webgear, accessories, pouches, Kevlar helmet and the classic GI JOE RAH laser rifle with or without a modern era M4 variant?

Not as a regular release, but something for the forum freaks GI JOE members only?

I would totally be up for that.

It wouldn't even need to be an "official" release for me to buy that. I bet some of the smaller producers can make a "generic army uniform" clearly meant to be used for GI Joe greenshirts.

I haven't used that one in particular. What's it for Prog? There's some Dragon helmets that work pretty well for the Original Joe helmets.

I also am eyeing this by dragon. though I can;t tell if it comes with strap.

That's the one I've used before, at least it's the same mold. There's a soft plastic chin strap on it.

also, do you splurge on boots? there is a very wide range of prices for boots and I dont know which way to go.
