What about Peter waking up and thinking Walternate was his father? That's yet another possible universe. One where he was never taken as a child by Walter. Maybe that's the universe we see 15 years from now.

Walter called Astrid Ostrich. :lol

Your spoiler info. may actually lead to a fourth possible hypothesis/circumstance to what we saw in the ending. And it may have some concrete evidence to back it up. Tonight's Glyphs produced the word M U L T I and I would assume MULTI as in MULTIVERSE. Peter may have been thrown forward into entirely different Earth, altogether, one that is not our own or Earth 2 or an amalgamation of Earth 1 and 2 but a completely separate Earth, ie Earth 3 or so on or so forth. The Wave Sink Machine is definitely like a Cosmic Treadmill. You power it up, get it up to speed and you break on through to the other side (and Abrams and Co. used the Doors' Riders on The Storm in this episode too); a host of infinite Earths.

Fantastic.

How glad are we that this episode wasn't the season finale cliffhanger? Thank goodness there's one more. So great, this season was.

Did anyone else get a Terminator: TSCC vibe when watching the last few minutes of tonight's episode?

Really great episodes and i can't wait to see what happens next week. :yess:

Yes, that was a completed Freedom Tower--it was meant to show it was our universe since 9/11 never happened over there.

That's not technically true about 9/11 not happening over there. They also had a 9/11, although the plane that was originally going to hit the White House over here actually reached it over there. There was a New York Post article saying that the Obamas are moving into the newly rebuilt White House when Olivia visits William Bell at the World Trade Center in the season 1 finale.

That is what I was thinking about...9/11 happened over there but without the Twin Towers being hit.

I think we may see a third earth's future.

That, as well as a Planet of the Apes vibe, a Sliders vibe, a DC Comics Crisis on Infinite Earths vibe, Hell even a Doctor Who vibe. Lots of different homages being played with there.

OH. MY. GOD.

And in true Abrams' fashion, there is a voice at the end of the trailer that says something but it is backwards. If you run it forwards, its says, "you were right."

So now it looks like Walternate made it over into our universe (if that is indeed our universe, ie Earth 1). Did he escape along with others and is he leading the group known as the End of Days to destroy Earth 1? If so, where is Bolivia and her son, Henry? Damn Friday cannot get here quickly enough!

It looks like next season is going to be huge if this is what the finale is setting up. It's no wonder Fox renewed it.
