Just me or does this line seem to be priced kinda high? Was interested in Mary Jane until I saw the price tag for a 12" statue. :(

All of these prices are going up as years go by. It sucks. :(

Take PFs, for example. Costs now are almost double what they were then.

Haha sorry, I was comparing the prices to 1/6 and PF lines. Just seems really high for a 12" tall statue... especially one that isn't a more popular scale like 1/4. If it was 1/4, I think I'd buy the entire line without thinking. Guess I'm just surprised that they're small.. and pricey lol.

I knew what you meant. Prices are going up across the board. It's crazy looking back on how things have changed.

Well the Comiquettes are 1/5, but yeah they're Smaller than the PF's but still if you look at the price of PF's now the Comiquettes are at least $100 cheaper, then again i guess that really isn't much.

Meh, buy what you like.

I understand completely. I was thinking the same thing this week. Problem is I don't even think this is 1/5. I think she is smaller.

It's the pose. Let's assume her legs are 2 1/2' actual, that's 30" actual, 6" at 1/5 scale. So if she's standing, she's 17-18" including base. That's in line with 1/5 Comq's.

Call me crazy but I got a feeling she is gonna smaller in scale yhan thw comq. I think yhat cushion looks pretty big.

Absolutely. I couldn't agree more. Everyone saying this is Bowen sized isn't making sense. MJ is in a seated position. Not only is she seated but she is actually sitting on her legs. If she were standing upright, there would be no question she is in 1/5 scale. She is part of a set. She will most definitely match up in scale to the other 2 pieces in the set. Why would SSC even attempt to make her in Bowen scale? That just doesn't add up.

That is 100% accurate! She is definitely 1/5 scale and perfectly done (I haven't seen even ONE statue that has a better likeness to Mary Jane (meaning an attractive Mary Jane). I wanted to pick up this character in previous sculpts but the face was always so horribly done, in my opinion. This one is simply stunning and the one piece I am really looking forward to, aside from Red Sonia, that is.

Sometimes I feel like people are trying to keep others "on the fence" until the the ES has been established (which is a good idea...LOL) but the issue with size is not an issue at all. If you love the sculpt, order it because this is definitely one piece that you will regret NOT owning. If you don't love it and won't regret not having it then wait it out and see what happens. There will always be another Mary Jane statue. I'm just hoping that her PF, if they ever get to it, will have an attractive likeness and not a likeness akin to what we had seen prior to this statue.

12 inches on her knees definitely passes bowen height standards. As far as price is concerned, and no offense towards the Bowen diehards, there isn't a bowen sculpt with this much detail in existence for 250 dollars. (I own enough of them to be able to say this with confidence) Compared to the the new increased pricing on most of the SS sculpts I am happy to only have to dish out 250 for this amazing sculpt

SS Mary Jane = :bouncin :inlove

Hey had to share this fan art with you guy..just too cute..based on the same artwork as the Sideshow statue
