Looks good man.

Does anyone have any advice on adding your own cape to batman? This is the last step in my process and I am struggling a bit to get everything lined up correctly. I tried the tape trick but that didn't work out too great. I think one of my problems is that I need to cut the cape much wider but, even with that I cant get the demensions right around the front of the cowl. I have the 19 inch version. Thanks to anyone who can offer help and keep up all of your great work. I would also be willing to possibly purchase the cape if someone would be willing to make additional.

I bought the 31", and I ended up ordering the 19" also the other day. I think I'm gonna end up modding the 19" instead. Not really sure. Love the 31" but its just too big for my collection.
So I'm leaning on doing the mods to the 19".
If I do, I second the help for the cape.

I have the 19 inch figure and I made a 17 inch cape dimension I think, as far as the neck template I used tape and cut out where the cowl imprints were on tape and drew that on the fabricafterwards if that makes any sense. And the cape is about 3/4 of a fill circle while on the fabric laid out.

Just make sure the 17 inch mark is from the bottom of the neck template when cutting. Just make sure you measure from Batman's boots before cutting for your own preference. I like my capes a little longer since it's going to be in a museum pose all the time.

Thanks for all the cape advice everyone. I've been stalling on that as it is out of my comfort zone of painting. While procrastinating on that I finished my Armored 20" for the 1/4 shelf. Turned out cool.

That looks great! What did you use to make WW's sword?
I'm trying to modify the armoured Batman as well, but I can't figure out how to fix his arms so that spread further apart. How did you do it?

Some mods I did to the 20" figs.
Superman:
repainted skin tone and remove thick eyebrows, fixed new cape and painted the blue
Wonder Woman:
repainted the metallic parts and the reds, made the straps and added the rope.
Batman:
Shoe polish on the body (based on Cosplay Chris' video), fixed new bigger cape.

That's really beyond amazing Ironmann ! How do you paint the stubble so clean and lifelike ? Any tips ?

Some awsome work on here guys! Super proud of each and every one on you!

Just one gripe. I think the shoe polish works on Supes, but i think it's a bit terrible on Bats. I hope I can discourage people from using the shoe polish method - drybrushing regular black acrylic paint over the raised portions of the texture with your finger will do the job. Then slash up the plastic with different types of knifes (hobby, box cutter, kitchen). Then do a bit of dremelling to create the biggest scratches. When you create the cuts, make them random and use source material if you have to. Especially for the bat symbol. Add a gloss/semi-gloss finish to all the black portions (cowl, gloves, boots, bat symbol, cape) I used a regular car wax for that.

Cosplay Chris has some excellent ideas, like the modified cape and airbrushing the stubble is decent. Please stay away from shoe polish though!!!!

Do you guys disagree with me? I'm trying to be fair to CCs ideas here, but I haven't seen many people adopt my methods. Perhaps there is a reason and my mods are not to all your liking? Please do let me know, because I'm wondering if people genuinely think the shoe polish idea is better? Cheers guys.

Edit: I understand a lot of you have already done the shoe polish method. How satisfied are you with it? Did anyone manage to get a matte finish after applying the polish? cheers.

Seing everyone great work made my buy both the 19" Batman and Armored Batman.

Just finished repainting both.

I didn't used shoe polish but blakc acrylic wash instead.

I need to make new capes though.

I used epoxy sculpt and clear plastic for sword and hair dryer for loosen Batman's arms.

I painted with Chalk Pastels( green and brown) then flat clear coat on it.
