Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

damn, the suit looks amazing.

Yunsil's suit that the rhamier boys helped made happen is a gem indeed. As is the inigou sculpt that will go with it!

Great figures coming soon. I'm glad I taught myself how to paint them because id have about 10 unfinished figures right now that are among the best in my collection. Brosnen and craig are among them soon to be joined by Sean!

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Can't wait to see Jake work his magic on this one its gonna be insane!

Jake did you get a gray cast? I thought they were all off-white.
It looks like alot of fun to paint....i primered the cast in grey army painters....its so thin and helps when you get a white cast.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Interesting I should give that a try I usually avoid primers because I find them to be unnessisary and wash out details but if this is thjn it might help. White casts are the worst you never know the details in the sculpt until you see it painted. I like to "mentally paint" my figures before the brush even touches them. Study the details. Plan my attack. Your above picture will definitely help me!

Yes man i only primer white casts and this primer is the thinnest on market...tell me it washed out any detail! It helps alot man and get that attack plan ready!

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

A little away from figures for this post, but the next Bond movie has been revealed. So.... SPECTRE will be it's name. Seems like the producers are touching on original elements of the franchise, and giving a nod to Bond's opposition from the connery era. What do you guys think?

Looks better Luse!

Anyone else here get the bbkill sculpt? I would have thought most of the guys here would. Anyone got pics to share -- of the sculpt or their outfit?

I'm still considering Rdeezy's project Yunsil suit to complement my bbkill sculpt. Other than a simple black tuxedo, I don't know what would be more iconic than that Glen Plaid suit from "Goldfinger".

I've got both bbkill's Brosnan and Connery sculpts on their way. I know that there are quite a few pics of the Connery sculpt, but i'll post some pictures of the Brosnan sculpt when I receive it. I've also been keeping a close eye on the Yunsil Goldfinger suit thread. It might just be me, but I've always found the white tux that Bond wears at the beginning of Goldfinger the most memorable of the Connery outfits.

"Iconic" suit for sure, but it really comes down to what you want. Never let anyone tell you what should be in your collection.

Yeah, that outfit stands out, but mostly because that opening is just so good -- so Bond.

The Connery Bond era was all about the Grey Suit. They made up the majority of his wardrobe for all of the first five films. And of all the grey suits, seems Goldfinger is the stand-out that keeps living on.

Another iconic look is the black stealth outfit he wears during his genuine spying moments -- like at Goldfinger's factory or Largo's Palmyra. The outfit that Sideshow did for him with the backpack.

Really an awesome paint job:clap

However... Now I have this and can't wait to paint mine, but don't you guys think that there's something slightly off? I don't know if it's because the face is too compact, or the hairline not receding enough, or maybe just me!:lol
