Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD
I'm biased by the fact that Brosnan was my kid-growing-up Bond, but I thought he was a good Bond in some not-so-great films, if that makes sense. Honestly, he's really the only one that you can't peg down as trying to add too much of a change into the role...Dalton was the tough one, Connery was the smarmy one, Moore was the ahem..."funny" one (though I don't find him all that funny!), and Craig is the stripped down fighter. Brosnan was just...Bond.
And while I like GoldenEye, I think there's some nuggets of good stories in TND and TWINE - the idea of controlling the news in the information age is interesting, and the idea of a Bond girl becoming a baddy due to Stockholm syndrome still holds up. They were just bogged down by the Bond "formula" of how action sequences need to be played out, girls need to be introduced, villains need to act, etc. Once they opened up the reins for Craig it shows.
Back to the figures, while I have the utmost respect for bbkill - His Connery, Craig, and Ford are still all favorites of mine - Inigou's Brosnan was just stronger in my opinion. It doesn't hurt that it leans a bit younger.
BTW, I still have a couple unpainted Inigou Brosnan heads lying around if anyone wants to PM me.
