Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Tis the season again, so here's my newest custom that's been 10 plus years in the making. She didn't quite turn out as I envisioned her, but I'm glad that she's finally finished. She is Tracy and I caption this figure as "James... "

Very nicely done! Was she based on the Product Enterprise Emma Peel? I have that figure and have always thought she'd work well as Tracy.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

That Tracy is AMAZING. And though I posted it in the interest thread, I have to thank Rocco again for going back and re-looking at Dalton. I think with just a few minor tweaks (most of it is THERE) it'll be great.

I hadn't colorized Connery, but I'll do it right now since you guys are liking them :) It'll only take a few minutes.

OH - and that Tracy? BEAUTIFUL! I have no words. :thud:

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Capn, thank you and thank you to everyone supporting my art. Great work on the photoshop changes, and pointing out that all his features line up save for the cheek thickness. I'll get to them next week.

Cap'n, can you email me those paint mock ups? Great job!

I can only make changes to sculpts if I know about them, I've been the last to know on the Dalton piece, so thank you again to the Owl for giving me the heads up on the Bond thread, and starting the interest threads to begin with!

Be safe this Holiday Season and God Bless!

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Rocco, coming right up! I think we've been so - what's the word - disillusioned by artists who come in and just say "this is how it is" that we do mockups just...well to appease ourselves. But the fact that you're taking these (hopefully constructive?) thoughts to mind speaks volumes.

EDIT: Rocco, just sent you an email through the forum. Let me know if you get it :)

Here's a Connery paintup if anyone's interested:

Really GREAT work on that custom Tracy! :clap

I see the concerns, and I see I went to young on Dalton, I stopped the print midway, so that is cost to me. I want everyone to be happy with the sculpt, so I'll be making changes.

:clap

THAT is excellent news and a great work ethic! Thank you, Rocco.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I think once painted and on a dressed body, possibly wearing a tuxedo this is going to look different than just a rendering. If people are disappointed I can understand but Dalton tended to go through a number of expressions in his two films and I think this sculpt is pretty decent...and THE ONLY one out there.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I believe that once Rocco makes some minor adjustments, many more people will be in agreement on the high quality of the sculpt. :)

BTW What a wonderful Tracy figure superado!

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Thank you "The Owl" and "Wor-Gar." Your signature, Wor-Gar, (Freaks Dilemma: desperate need for completion vs. desire for perfection) really speaks for how I feel about my recently completed Tracy, because I am only about 60% satisfied with it and hope to redo the head, hair and dress.

Anyway, here's a Happy Holiday Wish to all the Freaks, especially the Bond Super Freaks. Can you guess what's my favorite movie of all time, which I just watched last night?

You're really getting me in the mood to rewatch OHMSS, supernado! Unfortunately I haven't seen it in quite a while.

I'd like to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday as well. Enjoy the festivities guys! :)

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Actually when it comes to the Connery sculpt, I think the cheeks might need to be sunken in a bit more (unless of course you're going for the heavier Connery of his later movies).

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Ok gents, last - and I mean LAST - Dalton manip.

One of our members was convinced that there's something going on with the spacing of the mouth, so here's a comparison of that wonderful pic Monomaster2 posted with the mockup I did. All the features are dead on. Oh, I extended the cheek a teeny bit too far on the left...and the ears could stand a raise, as could the hairline. But all in all? I think Rocco will make us very happy. I'll email this on to him as well so he has it for reference.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

If I may to say-excatly becouse of too low ears and hairline his face seems shorter as it actually is made.
But of curse it's up to Rocco is it important, or no.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Gido - I talked to Rocco, and he said he'll look into each of these pics and concerns. He seems to think it may be the angle of the photos that are making the ears look so off, but he's going to work on it either way :)
