Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Pic from FB of the Blackbox Craig:

It looks ok, if a bit elongated. If it's hollow then you could heat it, squish it and cool it and it might look better.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

We need someone to pick up the bond license. No one seems to be able to sculpt Craig.

Even if someone picks it up (which apparently is not even a possibility) it does not mean Craig will be nailed.

Most of the hot toys portraits are bested by custom head likenesses anyways.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Bear in mind that I effed up and scraped the paint off its right eye. I am obviously no photographer, but here are a few pics of the Blackbox Bond (I opted for the grey suit):

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

The Blackbox Bond looks quite nice indeed! :)

I think that the grey suit would work very nicely for a Connery bash with perhaps a different tie. Also, I agree with Wor-Gar that the watch looks great! It reminds me of the Rolex Connery wore in Goldfinger.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Looks like the Blackbox head is a wee bit small, don't ya think?

The head on that Blackbox looks like a tiny raisin on that suit. Ooops. The Eleven sculpt in photos is much better - but I've also had it in hand and it's not great.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Mmm, in those last pics the Black Box head does look too small. Unless Babs Broccoli hands over the reins to someone else, mini official Bonds are not a possibility. Rumour has it that SSC were the nail in the coffin for licensed 007. I'm sticking with my Juniper Connery now. Craig is unlikely to continue and his Bond star is on the wane so I doubt there will be many more attempts at his Bond. It depends on who is next as to whether even this thread can continue and really it already shouldn't as it's entitled 'Official' James Bond Thread.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I thought that the Sidshow figures were good for their time. This figure isn't licenced, as it isn't referred to as James Bond, yet they have 'Spectre' and '007' on the box. Not just that, but they also used fan artwork (the Spectre logo in the wax).

With an ever growing back catalogue, it's maddening why no 1:6 company has the licence.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Early ones were ok, but, once they got to Brosnan things really took a turn. I was surprised Famke Janssen didn't sue, I'm sure someone would have shown her the figure. When Babs says "NO!!" she means it and that is that.

Ah, I didn't get Xenia. I have 4 of the Bonds (Connery: GF, Lazenby, Dalton: TLD & Brosnan: DAD), Pushy Galore and Trevelyan.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Anything Sideshow released had to be approved by the licensor, not sure why they're being blames for the lack of a current 1/6 license. If someone has the money and a business plan, I'm sure we'll see 007 1/6 again.
