I personally don't think Greggo has replied in any unprofessional way. I find the opposite is true, he has been incredibly professional.

Breaking down the costs was a rough number and something that enlightens people so they are not consistently balkig at the prices all of the time.

I can't imagine that without doing high volume these figure companies are making any money... I don't think the prices are about greed and I would assume that hot toys has an advantage over the rest to put out s better quality product for less with their resources.

But the way I look at it is; if you can't win, don't play the game.

If you want to charge as high prices as the best players the product has to be just as good.

Threezero has really bad product but one thing I can say is that they price accordingly. Sideshow on the other hand is not justified at all.

Anyway, now it seems will be relegated to a custom section instead of it's stated purpose.

Thankfully it wasn't changed to "Bond, Evil Bootleg Bond."

I created the big chief announcement thread and the title of that was changed too.

The mods must want it a certain way.

I suppose this makes sense as most things in here now will be custom.



Also, I can't believe this thread is 10 years old. ****.

If the lack of quality is as great as people expect, it won't be long before this thread becomes the official thread again...

PJAM, just rename the thread "Show off your Bonds, James Bonds: Sideshow, Big Chief, Customs & More" - click Edit -> Advanced -> then change the thread title.

Thanks, Pix, I might just do that. But seriously, it was never created as a custom thread because even other companies were doing Craig knockoffs back then and Sideshow (of all places) was still putting out Bond product.

With the current name of "Custom JAMES BOND THREAD" it makes it seem as if this thread is only for posting custom items while there are plenty of other licensed items around that could be discussed here such as; Factory Entertainment's prop replicas, books, scaled cars, etc.

True, but this General Section is for "Action Figures".

They should have just left the thread title alone. Or maybe called it the "All Things JAMES BOND Thread".

I never realized that this was a part of the "General Collectibles Action Figures" Sub Forum before today. I just thought it was for all types of Bond collectibles!

With that being said, I can't imagine people making another thread for specifically talking about Bond products that aren't action figures (especially since so few people collect things besides action figures here). Since I'm assuming that the thread title had to be changed and couldn't remain the same I second the vote of making this either the "All Things James Bond Thread" or "Show off your Bonds, James Bonds: Sideshow, Big Chief, Customs & More", but anything besides the current title of "Custom JAMES BOND THREAD" would work.

Who suddenly changed my thread title? No heads up, PM or reason given?

Was supposed to be (and for nearly 10 YEARS has been) for all things Bond; Sideshow, Customs, Other Companies, Craig, etc. Anyway, now it seems will be relegated to a custom section instead of it's stated purpose.

Thread titles have always been changed to clarify the content of the thread. There is licensed James Bond now, so this thread cannot be the OFFICIAL James Bond thread. The entirety of this thread are James Bond custom figures - so that seemed like a reasonable name for the thread.

The goal of the mods and admin is to make the forum a more usable and friendly place - changing thread titles to clarify thread content is part of that.

Agreed paint is awesome, not my vote for head though.

Not perfect but BBkills is close. I'm happy with it,

Eleven is a really good widely available option. Actually the only good one of you ask me. While not perfect either it honestly has a better likeness than most official hot toys heads.

Is this the 'non-squeezed' version? The likeness has good points. The .gif in the previous post shows the weaknesses though.
