Showing you guys the New “ Custom Skyfall “ Bond Suit !
Still in the prototype stage but getting close to
being finished :)

This weeks update, seats completed and have done most of the door cards. Just a few detail pieces to add. I'm going to have to hand paint the Tartan cloth pattern on both.

I don't envy you that task! Tartan was always the reason I never bought model kits of William Wallace or Connor MacCleod.

Progress has been slow lately, as it took ages to get the window frames and door cards to line up neatly. Lots of tweaking to get them to shut just right.

I like it. Very british and 70s.

Marine boy, your work is beyond me. I look at all that detailing and can't understand for the life of me how you get all those cards to be so fine and accurate in shape. The tools for cutting and forming, and the processes you apply, must be really intrincate. They are totally unknown to me.

Plasticard (I hope I am spelling it out correctly) turns out to be a killer material, and manipulating it properly, a killer skill. The way you have used it for this particular, highly linear car, is just spot on. And your attention to detail is even moving. Following this thread has already changed my mind. Please keep up the good work! And if you should ever consider passing on your knowledge, I'll be on the 1st seat row taking notes.

Thanks!
m.

Spent my Easter break working on the front end.

Lots of adjustment to get all the panels level and equally spaced.

Front lid opened. Most of the space inside is taken up with the spare wheel, Brake Master cylinder and fuseboxes.

Naturally, the headlamps pop up.

I've joined the headlight pods together with a centre bar. Real Esprits used 2 separate motors, so if the wiring or motors failed, the car ended up "winking". I will install a servo to raise them electrically.

I'd love to know what body that's on, it looks perfect. It also goes to show that whatever happens with the rest of BCS, Inigo's reputation will still be intact, that's the best I've seen his work look!
