Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Keep the reworked Roadshow and pass on the DID 3R, that's my suggestion. Unless DID change the sculpt dramatically before release, in which case, I'm confident you can probably get (all/most of) your money back reselling the other sculpt anyway.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Oh, then my PM will seem out of place. ;) I thought you'd mentioned ordering the one from eBay previously, my bad.

Me too... Does anyone own it? Coulda sworn someone said they'd bought one. I'd like to see in-hand pics. I still like that sculpt but it looks like it's in need of a paint job. Much like the Loading Toys figures, he's too tan and shiny.

You could get that sculpt and a decent suit for under $100. I have a spare TT with hands in a parts box I could use. Very tempting.... Not sure how much a repaint would run.

Great photoshop ray, now that is Craig. Sadly the DID one misses the mark. I was really excited about the unpainted sculpt.

Yeah, sorry I gave that impression. If I hadn't seen the DID one I would probably still have gone for that head. Like you say though it would need a repaint, and, unlike before, repainted heads I've done don't feature in my collection that much, mainly because they've been replaced by better painted heads from production figures.

BBKill's is a standby in case nothing else I like ever emerges. I am still repainting Indy though, but that's because I know nothing better ever will emerge, the DX put paid to that!

So, I'm still hanging on for the DID head to come out. If it doesn't then I'll either see what the final Brothers sculpt is like or stick with BBKill's. One way or another I will complete Bond to my satisfaction without having spent a fortune doing so.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Wow it looks like James Bond has been hanging around with Spidey there a little too much, now he has the ability to craw on ceilings too :D Nice stand very original!!

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Got frustrated with my attempt at sculpting DC... went back to working on redoing Dalton's hair.

SSC Dalton. I shaved his head down and resculpted his forehead and hair. I'm not 100% satisfied with it, but it's a vast improvement from his original hair. I'll probably paint him later in the week.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Wow, that original Dalton paint app makes him look like Kryton from the Red Dwarf series.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Added evilface graphics.... Just need a walther...

Good luck on the Walther.... I'm gonna go to my dad's and repose his Goldeneye Brosnan to be running with the AK-47 and take his Walther in the process :lol Like that suit, but is it iconic enough for the only Bond in my collection? Hmmm....

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Except the Roadshow one on ebay is being sold by a guy with 26 negatives in 6 months! Forget it.

Likely a bunch of whiny people who don't realize that stuff shipped from China takes more time than something shipped from next door. Not to mention extra delays if you live in a less developed country yourself, like Mexico. Then you have people who don't communicate with the seller to even say anything is wrong. 26 Negative, 36 Neutral but over 2400 positive in those 6 months.

I would have to agree with you on this guy. The vast majority of feedback is all on the same dates over a month so he has to send a shedload of items all on the same day. It's Murphy's Law that the odd one or two out of several will slip the net. The guy is probably a one man band operating out of wherever he lives and I think he could be forgiven for the odd slip up.

Most negative feedback is left buy impatient snotty a**wipes who expect instant gratification. He isn't a 1/6 dealer either, most of what he sells are phone cases and custom decals for handheld consoles.

Based on what I've read, had I still wanted the head I would still have gone for it.

That's a definite improvement. I always thought the Dalton was one of the weakest SSC sculpts, you seem to be getting the most out of him though. Even if a licensed figure was made of him from another movie, in the majority of roles I've seen him in he's had a moustache.

Well done! I could definitely see him parachuting on to a yacht to be greeted by a bikini clad damsel who offers him a glass of champagne after he announces his name "Bond. James Bond." The hair is a noted improvement.
