Tux: When it rains, it pours. We've never had any tux availability from what I can tell, and now in the short span of a couple of months we have no less than 4, including one in white. This one even has a shawl stripe down the pant leg, just like I need for my Connery Bond. But it looks blue, so I might still stick with the previous one and add the stripe myself.
I definitely agree with you more than I disagree, especially with the Lecter comment as that was my main critique about that piece. But to me it's about 50/50 or at least 60/40 with the edge to the likeness. That being said a 60% sculpt is something I can't abide, it's got to be at least 80% for me to warrant a spot in my collection. Snyderman or his mom has the eye but not the finesse level, to me their work would jump out like a sore thumb next to my other pieces, everything I do professionally is in a highly aesthetic field. I make a living off of scrutinizing the smallest details and making sure everything looks perfect. Fortunately or maybe more accurately, unfortunately that gives me a low tolerance level for anything aesthetic I purchase be it furniture, books, clothing or my collectable figures. So if I have a collection that consists of highly refined and realistic sculpts and many spot on or very close likenesses, my standard is that high to constitute something worthy of my collection. They need to meet both criteria and if one is off, be it likeness or sculpt realism level it's an overall fail in my book, as is the aforementioned iminime Lecter. The difference is that even though the Snyderman looks more like him (but I wouldn't say by a lot actually I think that's one of Snyderman's weaker heads, Craig is admittedly one of his best) I would rather have neither because both miss the mark. For me it's about quality and not quantity even if it's a fav character.. my collection is just too big.
WE NEED A DAMN GOOD SC HEAD FIRST THOUGH!!
