Holy sh …amazing stuff.
Anyone seen the latest South Park making fun of Avatar? It's called "Dancing With Smurfs." It was pretty funny.
this movie looks awsome when does it come out?
They just aired a pretty long trailer that I hadn't seen during House; it only reinforces my thoughts on this film: this is another Cameron takes on the corporation theme (i.e. Aliens, Terminator 2). The visuals look bright and very similar to Feleucia - where Aayla Secura bites it. So the humans with conscience will revolt and take on the "machine."
Just watched House and saw the trailer, it looks good, but the story is far far far far from anything original.

Its Dances With Wolves in space.
Still looking forward to it though.
you know what else is cliche? comment like your. you're a LOTR fan, so let me ask you... what was about LOTR's story that was so original? all races uniting against one common evil. hmm... why does that sound so familiar?I still say that the story is cliche and is supposed to give way for the visuals; neither of which have me too overwhelmingly enthused.

but you know what? i absolutely love LOTR when i saw them. do i care that there's nothing original about the plot? heck no. know why? because all the details are new, because the way the story is presented is new, because at the end of the day there's no such thing as original story anymore, and the trick is to tell old ones through fresh eyes.
it doesnt matter if a film is derivative if it works. what matters is if it succeed in taking all these borrowed(or stolen, take your pick) elements and filtering them to make the story seem fresh. just like starwars, or the matrix, or indiana jones, or jaws, or district 9, or yes, LOTR.
