Good grief that’s terrible. At least he was able to reprise the role in the Ghostbusters video game.

Did I mention someone stole his original screen used GB costume from his hotel room? He used to wear it at conventions.

Did I mention Ernie was shot and killed on the set of the Crow. The current Ernie is actually his ghost.

You do know that the makers of the game didn't originally want to hire Hudson at all, or allegedly even have Winston in the game beyond a cameo voiced by someone else, but Bill Murray heard about it and refused to participate unless they got Ernie on board and made sure that all four Ghostbusters had an equal amount of time as far as the script and voice work went. Aykroyd and Ramis made no such demands. So Murray, not always an ***, and sometimes can even be difficult for the right reasons.

Yeah, I don’t think Bill Murray is always a bad guy, he’s just weird when it comes to Ghost Busters.

A few years ago my niece, who lives in Austin Texas was telling me that Bill Murray just showed up randomly at a house party that a friend of hers had thrown. By all acounts he was acting really cool around everyone that night. Even talked the police into looking the other way when they showed up over a noise complaint. For the longest time, I wondered if someone was pulling my leg with that story, but not too long ago, my niece showed me a picture of Murray from that night at the party, that she had on her phone. Kinda crazy.

No kidding? I had no idea. I knew that he was kind of known for just showing up randomly at public events, even before my niece had told me about that party, but I didn’t know that exact party ended up on a documentary. I’ll have to tell her that, in case she hasn’t seen it.
