The mask they used in the film had noticeable indents around the eye and nose area. The nose was fairly pronounced as compared to other masks and the side that had been chopped away with the motorboat blade wasn't gouged.

This guy makes some darn good replicas - maybe you can tell by his masks:

Yeah, I have one of his part 7 masks. They are excellent. You can see pics of mine with the costume in my gallery here...

I know I'm in the minority here, but I think he actually looks better! I didn't like the boat shoes and I thought he looked all out of proportion. I held off, but seeing the production photos, I put myself on the waitlist for the excl. I know I'm far down onthat list now, but if everyone feels like you guys do, maybe I've got a good chance!! (ducks for cover)

A Jason figure without the proper mask is like a Jedi being release with just some random lightsaber hilt.

Here's to DarkArtist. The Coolest Guy In The Room. :clap :clap :bow :bow

That costume is friggin sweet.

Thanks Mikey! I worked for a few solid months getting that costume right. I has some thick soled boots that I put insoles in to make even higher... Took some pants I had from the Navy and hacked em up real nice, Got some cheap shirts from Wal-Mart and started the weathering process...

I burned the clothes, put them out.. cleaned my engine with the shirt to get it super greasy and filthy. Ran knives and scissors along the clothes to fray them up real good...

Finally added Fake blood splatters and black spraypaint to finish it off... and voila! Freakiest Jason costume in town. My only regret is that I did not get the chain to put around my neck and complete the Part 7 effect I was going for.

Next year I plan on Making a Jason 6 costume, so I'll be sure and keep everyone updated here. I have to get a new mask for that though.. so.. should be an interesting challenge.

Well if you're planning on buying from FiberglassMasks, check out his eBay auctions. They tend to close in the $100 or less range so you can save some bucks by not buying them off his website. So far I've picked up a Part 3, 5, 6 & 8 from him (and just won an auction for Part 7.) I used to have a life-sized Jason in my living room, too (Part 6.) Unfortunately, he got disassembled when I moved and the live-in girlfriend isn't too hip on his coming back to life. Considering she deals with a life-sized Darth Vader, Stormtrooper, and Boba Fett in the living room, I'll just count my blessings.

I keep all of my hockey masks in my office with all of my Sideshow:

Great 12'' collection Micro....Nothing beats a good 12'' collection..not even a premium format collection !!!

Yeah, Micro... I got lucky with that part 7 mask on ebay and will be trying over the next couple of months to get another deal from him for Part 6. I know I can pull of a Jason 6 in costume because he wasn't as tall as the other Jason's...lol

Wish I had the height to pull off a good Part 3, but I am hella short. I got my Latex mask from Nightowl productions and from what I've seen they make a really good mask for Jason 3. They also have the hack hood, just like it without the face... That might work too. I love their work, and the one I have rocks.

Just have to be careful and line the fiberglass masks with something, last year I didn't and the paint on my latex mask suffered greatly from all of the reveals I gave people. :D

But it was worth it.. lol I even made a cop jump that night.. too much fun.
