Thought the same thing on the price. I'd be surprised if this was anyone's centerpiece like the Batmobile could be. Guess if you want it, you pay the price.

Makes me afraid to see the price creep for their next 1/6 vehicle...

Welp, there goes my hope for an Arkham Batmobile. This genuinely looks all kinds of cool but I've been waiting for that Arkham mobile Joost was hinting way back in 2016.

I'm so happy that there is so much '66 Batman stuff coming out ... it gives my wallet a much-needed break so I can save up for stuff I actually want ;)

... to me it’s not anywhere near as iconic as the 66 Batmobile.
Even with this epic entrance!...?

:lol

What if it came with remote,
and portable AlfredCycle.

You mean for stuff like '66 Green Hornet & Kato, and the Black Beauty, right!? :wink1:

Apparently in In Hong Kong it was more commonly known as the Kato Show.

I recently got the 66 Batmobile. Was VERY impressed with it, to me it's the best thing in my collection. I was ready to pull the trigger on the Batbike. Then I really thought about it, for the price of the Batbike I can get the 89 Batmobile, the 96 Batmobile, or the 22 Batmobile. So I decided to get one of those instead. Still love the Batcycle and if I have some money drop in my lap I'll probably get it, but for now I'm going to pass.

I think today is the last day, but on the fence...like is it worth it?

I really cannot remember much episodes with the bat cycle....

Was it used in more than 5 episodes?

The price is shocking though...very high for what it is.

I think it’s a niche in the niche. I mean a product made for the most hardcore fans who are willing to pay the price asked.
I don’t know if it worths the price asked but yeah compared to the complexity and size of the 89 Batmobile, it can seem outrageously expensive.
Depends if by completism you want to add this next to the Batmobile and are agree to pay the price or feel you really need it and are in love with this particular vehicle.

I had every intention of getting this, but cannot find much cips of it to convince men. Just not iconic enough...

But again been struggling with this for the past month to get it...up until last night it was a yes, must have. But that's price...yikes.

As much as i give HT crap and praise JI, i do think there should be a way bigger price disparity between bikes and cars. Why is the Batwing $1000 more than a car for example. I understand why and willing to pay for the BW because not only is it a once-in-a-lifetime piece but its probably a lot more costly to make due to size (and some of us would pay this price). My HT '22 Batcycle cost me $200 lol, indeed way different product but unless '66 was your era there's no way one would spend $1400 on this. '66 isn't my era but I could see myself buying their '66 / '68 BM but I'd draw the line for this. It's one of those "I'd rather get a much cheaper alternative to have the representation". I don't know if there's barely any difference in time and cost to make this '66 Batcycle vs a '89 BM but I just think their smaller pieces should be more affordable.

I hear what you are saying, but this is all die cast and comes with a signed plate by Burt Ward and finally, the edition size is much lower, so all those things add to the price

Really appreciate your responsiveness to the community.

Just wondering with how your prices are, would there be products you’d produce for under $1000 or is there a minimum price for all your vehicles? Perhaps you could think about producing vehicles without the bells and whistles at a lower price point similar to what HT does with Hono for figs.

You're very welcome. The bells and whistles aren't the big issue. It's really just sales volumes and size. If I want to hit hot toys prices, I would need to sell over 10,000 units per product, (and use those same molds again for reissues) and scale them down slightly and simplify their shapes and details. Those are the big things. If you look at the 1989 you can see what I mean.
But there is no market for that or Hot Toys would be making way more vehicles. That's why I have a job. There is a niche out there for these things, but it's not a large enough market for big boys like sideshow or hot toys.
So if you have to charge more for the vehicle because of the low sales numbers, it makes sense to make it really really accurate, detailed and with bells and whistles.

Makes total sense. Of course, lower sales limits the prices, and 1/6 vehicles naturally result in lower sales volumes vs figs. Although if you could sell 10,000 vehicle units then the quality may suffer so it’s quite a catch 22.

Anyhow, Jazzinc is the best 1/6 vehicle maker in the game right now, and I will continue to support them.

Thank you! The catch 22 is right! That hovers over every project we do. It's impossible to predict how something will do. Sometimes there are many votes and no support and sometimes it's the other way around. Meanwhile I have to make business decisions and pricing based on the whims of a very passionate and opinionated community (often not hindered by any knowledge or experience of said matter ;)). I have learned that it is impossible to please them all

@joost
To continue further in this discussion, may I ask you if 1/12 Batman vehicles like 89 batwing or Batmobile are still considered or it’s definitely out of the table due to a too limited audience?

Speaking of the ULTIMATE catch 22! We put it up to a vote and will try the 1/12 scale batwing for kickstarter as we need a LOT of orders to make it viable in the 1/12 space where price points should not be much higher than $300. We are working on a design and prototype and will have something to show in April
