There's a tiny little thing that concerns me.

These lines you see in the suit texture. I've seen those very same lines in certain.. other figures.

@JazzInc

Can this be toned down or would the material allow it to be? You really have to be very close to it to even notice. Perhaps I'm making something from nothin here.

Thank you. I appreciate saying that it is a tiny detail, however, this is only a mock up and it might not be the final fabric as we are still doing many tests. This is really about getting the body shape correct so that we can start the production for the body. The body is the key to move forward on everything else. We need the final production version of that so that we can adjust the size of the clothing, the hands, the boots and everything else. So, we still have many months to figure out the final fabric, and it will be a trade-off between durability and weave.

Agreed, hopefully its not the same material Hot toys are using (for example arkham knight batman, arkham harley quinn ..), it tends to crease very easily. Some time ago I bougt on aliexpress black rubber vinyl sheet for my custom project. It comes in various thicknesses, its stretchy and glossy, so maybe it could be good material for this? :unsure:

I assume the thickness of the suit material at least needs to be determined prior to the finalisation of the body proportions, gloves, boots, corset etc. since a slightly thicker material choice will immediately throw everything else off.
At this scale, we’re only talking fractions of millimetres of difference but every little helps when aiming for ultimate accuracy.

If the ideal thickness is already locked into the decision process, you can just trial a bunch of different materials till you find the most suitable for texture, reflectiveness, flexibility, durability, anti-bunching, anti-staining, crease resistant, yada yada.

I’m loving all the insight here (and with Penguin,) and especially the community engagement and ego-free advice-seeking and implementation of genuine, constructive feedback.

I think I understand what you're saying. You're still working out the body so the rest can flow accordingly.

Keep up the great work guys.

If you can give me that link, I am happy to add it to the test batches for materials. Do you have any experience with the durability? If so, how long?

i'm sure that's true, but there's always going to be a compromise between the two? Would there be no way to make it durable and have accurate weave/textures? The company can achieve this later on will emerge the victor. But if we had to choose, I'd personally prefer better durability and have slight inaccuracy.

I bought it here:
https://vi.aliexpress.com/item/1005...il_item.4.1372f19ckCNiIW&gatewayAdapt=glo2vnm

Durability depends mainly on thickness, i have different thicknesses and all seem pretty durable, 0,2 mm will tear only if stretched really too much, 0,4 mm and more did not tear at all. But if it will be stretched for long time, it may became little bit loose. It also requires special glue for vinyl, it cant be glued with CA or any other common glues. Surely you can find some other disadvantages, but its worth a try😉
