Anybody know if the bases are interchangeable, like if you can put Luke on a Obi-wan Base, and if it would light up? Just curious.

What would that accomplish other than giving you an AC adapter option? :dunno Or maybe that was a hang-up you had.

Well, 2 things...
First, I'm wondering if the brightness has anything to do with the base. I dont have the other PF but I believe Vader and Obi Wan both have AC option and they're both bright. I think the Anakin, like Luke Doesnt so I'm wondering if somehow that has something to do with it.

And yes, my other problem was not having an AC adapter as I'm always annoyed that I cant keep leaving the light on as it will drain the battery so subconsciously I keep reminding myself to turn the light off as the battery wont last long:panic:

I mentioned it to ss the other day as well about the light up feature, but did not recieve any response...

Just messed around with my Luke again for 30 minutes...changed batteries again...pushed the hand up into the arm piece as far as I could and still no light. :( Too say I'm upset and disappointed is an understatement. :(

Thinking about just cutting out the picture from the shipping box and putting that on my display shelf...at least that "lights up".

Not happy at with this PF....

While it's not a huge deal to me since I wasn't planning on using the light up feature much anyways, it will be interesting to see what this negative feedback accomplishes.

I only planned on using the lightup feature once in a while...but to me it's the principle of the thing. Number one, it looks like _____ when it is working..number two...mine doesn't work. Either way i lose.

I got this response saying that this rep would contact me in 5-7 days or I could contact her.
She can be reached directly via e-mail at
[email protected] or through her direct phone
line at 805-214-2172.

I would appreciate it Jackpot if you would keep us posted on what SS has to say. I did send them a note also but they just havent had a chance to respond back which is understandable since it is Friday.

Will do..i know alot of people have the same concerns as I do...but on the same note, I think everyone who does have these concerns should call and or email. Getting a complaint from just me wont fix anything, but hundred may.

Totally agree, hopefully...those who are also having mixed feelings would contact SS and let them know.

Its not a case of nitpicking but clearly a production flaw. If they get enough response from people, homefully they may come up with a solution.

I hate that SS dropped the ball on the light-up saber because there is no excuse for that but I'll pick this up at some point.

Sent in an inquiry to CS and an email to Inthia.

Hope we hear something back on this.
It is a very nice piece outside the saber.

I think I'll pick this up later down the line and do this!

Looks like a pre production photo right there. I can see how sideshow pulled out all the stops on this pose!

Im waiting to hear back about a replacement outer belt. And i also made the complaint about the half lit saber, but no reply as yet....

Yeah, I got one last night.
Basically, what they said was the first was made made with some acrylic type material and was flimsy and so some of them broke during shipping. They were thinner that's why the light flowed better.

The ones now are of different material which are supposedly better so it wont break easily. Unfortunately, of course...the light doesnt flow through it as well. So it was a question of better lighting but flimsy material or low level lighting but stronger lightsabers.

I kinda see their reasoning now though as when I was positioning Luke, His lightsaber sticks way out and I kinda shut the door on detolf hard but it didnt break the saber. I saw that you can actually sorta even bend it.
I was determined to ship it back this friday...but...I dont know. It does sound reasonable.
AAAAAAAAAAAaaahhhhh!!! What the heck. I'll probably keep it. It does look awesome, paintjob on mine is solid. Its just that I wish that lightsaber was lit. But o well.
I'm over it.:)

Omg! I wish they would go back to the older material. What's the point of a lightup function if it's a quarter lit. Yes sturdy is good but I personally would rather take a leap of fate with the acrylic like material with the good lighting

I'm with you man. Its not like people would play with this. Once its displayed, that's it, unless youre FREAKIN replacing the battery since they didnt FREAKIN provide an AC adapter. But most of the time, its usually just sitting there on its display case.
