Basically, what they said was the first was made made with some acrylic type material and was flimsy and so some of them broke during shipping. They were thinner that's why the light flowed better.

The ones now are of different material which are supposedly better so it wont break easily. Unfortunately, of course...the light doesnt flow through it as well. So it was a question of better lighting but flimsy material or low level lighting but stronger lightsabers.

I just got my email last night, and it sounds like we got the same message.

I'm on the fence. I really like the sculpt, but having a half lit saber makes it feel incomplete somehow.

I'm now worried about the Darth Talon PF, knowing they'll probably use the same saber.

Just really bummed right now. :monkey2

I think different colors effect how much light will illuminate, the Jedi Luke saber doesn't feel all that different from the one on Obi-Wan but the effect is completely dissimilar. :dunno

My friend, this is a mistake, a terrible mistake. They've gone too far this is madness! Haha sorry I felt the need to quote Count Dooku. Anyway that is a fantastic idea! Offering a sturdy saber and a saber that is more delicate but better with lighting sounds great. Now I believe that of course different colors may have different strengths in glow, but if you think because that it only lights up 1/4 - 1/2 of the total blade because of color, that's pushing it, and giving them too much leeway. It is by all means unacceptable. We pay money, damn good money, in a time where this money is becoming scarce and people are losing it. Now for us to use expendable wealth on what we assume to be a "High Quality Collectible" and then be disappointed, well that's just wrong! Don't get me wrong this figure is probably the closest likeness to Jedi Luke out there, and great subtleties were added to the costume like the magnet for example. But most of us even buy these jedi collectibles for the saber function, to fully capture the figure in 1/4 scale. It's like waking jup Christmas morning and seeing Santa ate your cookies but left you a lump of coal

Anybody have a Vader & Dooku comparison shot?

Excellent question! I was just about to ask if Count Dooku also suffered this terrible fate.

Hard to totally tell since the shot is in daylight, It looks like Dooku doesn't suffer from the Luke Jedi PF light-up fate...His saber does look a little more 'pink' than Vader's 'red/orange' though:

Got Dooku today, #5.

Here is a quick pic with Anakin and Vader.

Yes, I remember someone said they probably would. Please do. I think a lot of people here would love it, specially if its as cool as Asajj or Anakin's.

No I bought two though so I could have a Jabbas Palace Luke and DS2 Luke

I'm coming to hang out at your house!

I do think the edition would play a part, the only time he is holding that gun is when he is wearing that cloak. Doesn't really matter, but just saying.
