Got this book today. Awesome information concerning both the Jedi and Sith. The artwork is really well done and if you're into SW (EU included) then I'd say this is for you.

Jedi vs Sith

Book looks interesting. Question for you, does it go back into the past EU of star wars. With characters like Exar Kun, Ulic Qel-Droma, Revan or Malak, those types of guys?

Yes, it covers those guys. It has a nice picture of Revan and Malak in it.

This is out already?? Sweet! Thanks for the heads-up, Josh. I'll definitely pick this up.

Yup, its awesome!!! Really some great info and even cooler drawings. Totally one of the cooler SW books I've bought in recent memory.

Heard the interview with the guys who did the painting and they sound like there top quality.
These kind of books and the 12 inch figures are the only thing i get now.

Chris usually does the KOTOR stuff (he painted the killer Darth Nihilus image used for the SW Minatures packaging), but I'm not sure. I'll definitely check it out, though. :rock

I see. Well, that image is one of my faves from the book. I wouldn't mind having a Litho or something of it.

If Exar Kun and the likes are in it like you guys say well then it's a must for me.

They're in there. Trust me. :D

Picked this up last night.

DUDE... that Trevas painting of a young Palpatine training with his lightsaber while a hooded Darth Plagueis watches in the background = :google :rock :rock :rock

There's also a near Edwards painting of baby Maul training while Sidious watches. These two and the Revan/Malak (which is Trevas, by the way) are the standouts... but you are right Josh, there are TONS of amazing new illustrations throughout.

And I just flipped through it. Haven't even actually read anything yet.

Definitely a must-buy, folks.

This book looks to be great. The only thing that bothers me about good Star Wars books is Lucas. What writers write has nothing to do with what he creates himself. Long before episode 2 and the whole Jango Fett thing there was a story about Boba and his origins. Turns out it was all wrong. With the television shows coming soon Lucas may change the whole force mythos that this book is written around because the final word in everything Star Wars is his.

to be fair, Boba's origins were wrong but worked into the story as being wrong...
